[Meme] Wish List

Saw this a while back and decided not to post it, cause we didn't wanna be greedy.
Then started seriously thinking about it and figured, hey, why not.

Step One

- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Christmas wishes:

1: No more pain for 'Neechan.

2: Um... well... A paid livejournal and/or deivantart account would be peachy... ^^;;

3: Art or fics are always welcome. We're easily bribable. Hee.

4: Since luck doesn't seem to be on our side lately, Good Fortune to our Friends and Family.

5: A stable job again. Out of state's fine, out of the country would be lovely. ( quick qualifications )

6: If we're feeling greedy, one of those hand-held data things so we can download to read/work on ficcage when we're not home. Or a laptop. ^^;;

7: Enough free time / cash to go to Japan in April. Visiting South Africa with Mati would be cool too.

8: Since World Peace is kinda far outta bounds, a Cessation in Hostilities would be nice.

... um, can't think of anything else.

[drabbles] Holiday Fics

I apologise, we really should have more holiday pictures for people done, but lately we've been pulling a MOrgan, staggering home feeling wiped like a butt and pulling the first season of Stargate SG-1 over our head instead of doing what we should be doing. And drooling over Jack's gloves. >D (Daniel can keep Jack. We'll just take the fingerless gloves)

Unfortunately, we're now entering Hell Week in the retail business, so they're prolly not gonna get finished this week either. So until we can scrape some braincells together, here's some holiday drabbles to keep you busy. ^^;;

Kiwi, I'm not ignoring your calls, I'm simply not near the phone or at work when you call. I'm sorry.
