Okay, was HUUUGE baka and went to work on a fic plunnie.
and then had to stop to look up a minor detail on Soushi.
Just about nada on the english web. So started looking on the Japanese net.

Loqi? Hauntress? Can either of you tell me what "京都泉心高校" Means? I know it's Kyoto -something- High School. But that's where Okita goes to school.

Was also amused to find that DC Soushi's signature strike is a 5-thrust strike. This is interesting because the Historic Okita was known for a 3-thrust strike.

Also found it interesting all the places Heiji's got scars. Mostly on his left side it looks like. He's very unlucky and gets hurt alot. Which would explain the pics of him all bruised and bloody.
One of these days, I'm gonna sit down with all my manga and a sketch book and map out exactly where everyone has scars. Just cause.

And today's weird japanese fanart includes Heiji in a playboy bunnie outfit (complete with bunny ears and serving tray), Kaito in a short Santa Dress, Ran in a min-skirt and short bodice style Santa dress and the most horrifying: Hakuba smiling as he puts on gloves.
Is very very scary. Like *snap* bend-over-and-say-cheese type grin.

... I have no clue where that line came from...
bed. right. blame it on cold medicne or some junk. Plus side, did learn much Norse mythology from Becky. ^__^

Woke up this morning to the sound of a key in the lock of my front door.
... I live alone.
Turns out to be the broker and a repair man, here to fix the termite damage on the front windows. (which are the size of a garage door, because, hey, my house used to be a garage) Think they were more embarrassed than I was. Didn't realise why until I glanced down and realised that y'know, Granpa's old shirts have -really- big collars that ride down. Eh. Whatever. Wasn't expecting them for 2 weeks.

So got a plunnie out of it. Drabble: ExpandAtempt #78 to Keep Kuroba out of Hakuba's House )

Oh, forgot to add. One fun thing about the reading we did last night was a list of people who knew Conan was Shin'ichi:
Professer Agasa, His parents, Hattori Heiji. Haibara Ai, The Kaitou Kid, and a fruit.
I kid you not. Babelfish & Nifty so fun.
There was also a musing about if Hakuba got Watson just to deal with Kaito's doves. Babelfish translated this to something about being careful with umbrellas below Watson.

and I'm actually craving coffee... too weird. blech.

Hakuba's gonna kill me sometime.

Plunnie for before the plunnie below.

Working on a longer fic. La-la-la. Stupid Hakuba's obsession with time...
Oh, did verify it last night. Hakuba Saguru's VA is Ishida Akira.
Those who reconise the name may go fangirlish now. XD

Tonight is the longest night of the year.

Y'know, sometimes I have to wonder, what it was like before clocks and cars and computers and electricty when that actually -meant- something. Meant a great deal more than it does now. When people were more in tune with nature than by what greenwitch time they had to be to work.

Dunno, maybe its cause I'm unempolyed right now and aren't confined to the clock at the moment.

But sometimes, I just have to wonder... what was it like, staying up all night to tend the fire, or the Yule log, to make sure it didn't go out and to ensure a prosperous new year. With just the silence and the darkness and the fire and the howl of the cold wind and snow outside. And wonder if the night and the moment would ever end, or would it just wrap around like a comforting cold-and-warm blanket, never to see the sun again.

And maybe I'm just a bit puzzled right now because the candle I lit for solstice went out and won't relight.

... the House imps are up to something again.

Ah, well.

Joyous Solstice, everyone! Happy New Year!
