Okay, was HUUUGE baka and went to work on a fic plunnie.
and then had to stop to look up a minor detail on Soushi.
Just about nada on the english web. So started looking on the Japanese net.

Loqi? Hauntress? Can either of you tell me what "京都泉心高校" Means? I know it's Kyoto -something- High School. But that's where Okita goes to school.

Was also amused to find that DC Soushi's signature strike is a 5-thrust strike. This is interesting because the Historic Okita was known for a 3-thrust strike.

Also found it interesting all the places Heiji's got scars. Mostly on his left side it looks like. He's very unlucky and gets hurt alot. Which would explain the pics of him all bruised and bloody.
One of these days, I'm gonna sit down with all my manga and a sketch book and map out exactly where everyone has scars. Just cause.

And today's weird japanese fanart includes Heiji in a playboy bunnie outfit (complete with bunny ears and serving tray), Kaito in a short Santa Dress, Ran in a min-skirt and short bodice style Santa dress and the most horrifying: Hakuba smiling as he puts on gloves.
Is very very scary. Like *snap* bend-over-and-say-cheese type grin.

... I have no clue where that line came from...
bed. right. blame it on cold medicne or some junk. Plus side, did learn much Norse mythology from Becky. ^__^

^_^;;; You could use that line in a future fic, I suppose. Get well soon!

I'm reading "泉心" as "spring"+"heart"; I don't know if it might be a kanji compound or place name or idiom or such, though...

"senshin;" 心 can also mean center/middle, so probably this is a place name imo . . .

I got 'Heart/Spirit' in the babelfish translations, but when I tried a Kanji-to-Romanji converter, there were 3-7 different ways each Kanji could be confeverted just into Kana, much less romanji. @_@

Senshin, huh? That makes too much sense, seeing as the orginal Okita was part of the Shinsengumi. ^^;;
Thanks!

I dunno if it's too late to answer you but, guess what? That's exactly what Gosho intended. He called it Kyoto Senshin Highschool knowing full well that 1) it's the opposite of "Shinsen"gumi (it's like the Tantei vs. Teitan trick he did) 2) it's Okita's school and 3) Shinsengumi's base was at Kyoto.

By the way, typing stuff into Google helps a lot.

I don't know about Japanese, but in Chinese 泉 means underground water, or something along those lines.

Don't know if that helps or not...
