My Dad had a lot of favourite sayings while I was growing up. Like:
"If you get hurt doing something stupid, it's your own damn fault." "Dessert is the best breakfast" (-specifically pie and cheesecake) "I don't know unless you tell me." and "I can't help until you ask."

The last one is the most important at this point. Um. Wow.

It's offical now, we're going to Y-Con. @_@ Primarily to help at 'Neechan's doujinshi booth (we'll be the ones NOT yelling 'get your red hot cock here')
Look for the redhead wearing horns. ^^;; We're not doing any costuming this time, traveling light.
*wanders off in a daze*

::glomps back!:: *^^* YAY!

Henna? :D I've seen that word around, but I didn't realize it meant a color. :O! I was guessing it meant "self-drawn" or something? ...bad guess apparently.;;; 'cause I saw it used as "henna tattoo." ::twitches tails:: :D;;; ::clueless::

But! Goldish-red hair sounds coool~ X3 ::snuzz::

Don't mean to interrupt, but...Henna is actually a plant, most assiciated with India. When the leaves are crushed and stuff, a paste is formed. That can be used as a temporary dye for hair and skin. Indian people draw designs on their hands for marriage (or just for fun) with it, and other Indian women (and Icka-sama, too) will use it to add a (usually) dark red tone to hair. The color of red depends on the maturity of the leaf.

Being Desi + botanist mum = random knowledge.

This is my third time using henna on my hair. Usually I add some camomille to it as well, since my hair is naturally golden-brown with red highlights.
Last time it came out pretty good, looked natural and blended in.
This time... well... the front part of my hair is -very- red and the rest settled into a nice red-brown. o_O
Never know what I'm gonna get when I do henna for the hair, but it's always fun. ^_______________^
Doesn't hurt that my hands are stained red too!!! XD XD XD

...Did you have sugar? O_o ... ^_^;;

The reason that happens is because the people who package them don't really care how mature the leaved are, nor do they tell you. So...You get differing dye jobs depending on the tube. When I was in India, Mom chose the leaved carefully to give me a dark red sheen to my black hair. It was really cool.

Icka-sama, you're so funny...<3

I use a powdered henna that you mix with water/tea then goosh into your hair. Kinda like playing with mud. Sometimes I mix it with egg if my hair's really dry.

Is not the same henna for skin, you use different parts of the tree for skin henna as opposed to hair henna. Kinda blanking on the difference at the moment... @_@;;

is the same kind of henna used for your hands the same you use for your hair? Friend went to India and gave me 3 cones.

Hands are stained? Like big huge orange blob? *gigglers* Indian grooms do that too.
