[drabbles] MK: Desprate and OP: Smell

ickaimpNeechan's here and having much fun being in full Mommy Mode. She's also making sure I eat. I'm just kinda sitting there swirly eyed.... @_@ Orooooooo
Also was introduced to Detective Campus Q, which in retrospect is a really bad pun because the main character's name is Kyuu (like the Jeep in Saiyuki says, only there I swear he means 'this is really gonna hurt). Also wondering what his last name is, because it's never stated. Course, we've only seen the first 4 episodes.
Q is done by the same people who did Kindachi and a great deal of fun, IMHO. Swear that he's watching Detective Conan in the opening ep. (the 3 suspects all have alibis, it's a locked room case and he needs to figure out this -trick-)

Two quick drabbles, cause this is a really short internet trip.
+++ Magic Kaitou: When Nakamori Gets Desperate +++
"I've got it!" Nakamori-keibu slammed the palms of his hands on the desk as he rose triumphantly from his chair. "The perfect plan to capture the Kaitou Kid!!!"
The assorted Task Force members looked up from their tasks, their expressions ranging from eager interest to resigned amusement. "Yeah?"
"We'll dig a deep pit!" Nakamori grinned, waving his arms to demonstrate as he explained his plan. "And cover it with a tarp! Then when the Kid walks over it, he'll fall in and we'll grab him!"
Various officers exchanged looks. "Sir?"
"Yes?"
"Rocket Dan from Pocket Monster's plots never work."
"Oh."

*Rocket Dan = Japanese Team Rocket
And meanwhile, in the background, Hakuba wonders if the Kid keeps surveillance on the Task Force...
+++ One Piece: Nami's Lament +++
Sanji.
Works over the hot stove most of the day. Smells of sweat, spices and fire.
Zoro.
Lifts weights and practices swordsmanship on the deck. Reeks of stale sweat.
Usopp.
Works with volatile chemicals that sometimes explode. Carries a charred scent with him.
Chopper.
Cold-weather reindeer in a warm climate. Smells like over-heated fur.
Luffy.
Sprawls in the sun, fights over food and laughs a lot. Still manages to stink.
Seven crew members on a small wood ship.
One shower.
There were times Nami got the urge to throw them all overboard and toss a bar of soap after them.

Poor Nami... she's the only girl on a ship full of guys. -well, until Robin comes along. *grin*
Completed rough for Part Two of For Freedom is now up on Friends View. Maim, Mutilate and Shred, please. ^____^ ((Huggles Mel and Keina))

Man... now i'm starting to feel sorry for Nami... especially when she's one of the few normal/cool characters in the series (*absolutely hates Luffy for reasons that I can rant about day and night*)

The day Nakamori shows up with toys from Acme, they offer the Kid a deal: they'll pay for the therapy if He'll get Nakamori there. *smirks* All it ought to take is a note and some rope to hold Nakamori in place, and some earplugs for the first 3 hours of cursing. *gurgles in laughter*

But, today is my 2 week anniversary of meeting this lady & in the morning I come in @ 10 am, open shop & take appointments while she's in Torrance/ Gardena /Redondo Beach area helping her 83 yo uncle. She asked me to master her new Sony Vaio and help with the building of a webpage... then a week in, plain gave me a key to the office... (don't tell nobody but she has a futon in her office & I've got a bedspread assigned me. *Sorry* losing to Italian-American grammar... only word I know is Loi = money. oh, the word yukoi was the artist's name one of her framed posters & she traded me for a thrift shop find that went with the office space's colors [I really liked it anyways so while I hope I didn't misquote which type of deamon, I'm sure glad it's out in the garage now]. Yep, we play something that goes "he's a wonderful counselor... Jesus, prince of peace...)
The shop is being reopened after a 3 yr European tour. But she's been a professional psychic for 33 yrs... & I am overworking the minion bit helping her re-open the shop & renew business in BH but getting to watch what it takes to open shop in the most infamously prissy area of LA county. Right across the street from the Beverly Play House & the carrot soup at Champs Elysees is heavenly for breakfast.
Still not getting paid but will be "soon" and get bonuses for scheduling appointments, she's busy to seperating her money from her shared account with "ex-hubby". Jermel got a raise... so things *censored to cross fingers* not 'moved out of LA- great' but leaving LA is kinda a learning curve for the uninitiated... give us time.
Tell Neechan I miss her... been kinda busy, cell phone only just recovered & no reply to email. I've got the mojico / acube hooked up to 2074 so tell her to hit me with a fax if she feels like it. I'm sure you'll get something that's right for you soon. You're the greatest & people just take a while to recognize it... so, go out there & be cute at business owners, but don't wilt in the heat!
Still missing you more each day... sniff.

*poor Nami. It's not fun having to share bathrooms, yes? Everyone tries to kick you out so they can bathe first. If they even remember to bathe at all.*
