4-Kids, the people who do Pokémon, got the rights to One Piece.
They've announced that it's going to start airing on the Fox Box this fall, along with Tokyo Mew Mew.

In other news, did a One Piece icon last night that is strangely appropriate, IMHO. o_O;;

What we need is a corporation of rich otaku to buy up the rights for all the really GOOD anime and hire some decent dubbers and voice-actors, if it absolutely MUST be dubbed. Personally I think subbing promotes reading comprehension/speed among kids (and warps their brains at the same time-- a DEFINITE plus! "Mommy? What's a homunculous? And why is that lady named Lust? Look, her dress is gonna fall off-- whoops, there it goes..."

My problem with 4-Kids is that they never release a subtitled version
Meaning all that'll be out on the market is the Dubbed. >_

There's always the HK DVDs on E-bay. ^__^;; That's how I got mine.

Just be careful of the names Sanji = Sunkist (a convience store chain in Japan, BTW) Luffy = Roof, Usopp = Liar Bu, etc etc.
The Akuma Fruit also goes thru a transformation: devil fruit, devil nut, etc.

Which gets really funny when Luffy's Brother shows up, and you get that he ate the Flaming Nuts.
