Howzabout '100 Stories' (or is it in there somewhere and I missed it)? Dammit, Icka, you've gotten me HOOKED on the @#$$#%!! series and I haven't even finished *watching* it yet! AAAAAAAARRRRGH!!!

....although....... just contemplating what kind of doujinshi would come out of THAT series is enough to turn my hair white. Brrrrrrr... Have watched the first 3 eps and am slavering to watch the rest this evening; ain't going nowhere, nohow. Manga? Must go check on those...

Damn; I envy you your bean collection. Gonna make more anime characters? Well, the point of it is mostly a joke about Ed being the size of a bean (A particularly small one, no less) But it was TOTALLY fun! As a tip, if you want to make your own, I ended up drilling a hole through the beans and pinning em to hold em still while I painted. Very cool because now i can make and wear Ed Bean earrings!!

I added 100 Stories to the list, it's now at the top. (s'not like the romanji was hard to find)
My fear is that it is too new of a series for us to find at the Mandarake, since they usually deal in used doujinshi. But I can try. ^__^
on the other hand, one of the unoffical goals of this trip is to visit every single Mandarake in japan. ^____^

That and a mug of Earl Grey and I'm haaaaaappy...) Am I wrong, or does it look like the three weirdies are sort of seducing the young scholar into their world? Or maybe not seducing; looks like he's doing 9/10ths of the work himself, come to think of it. Made me start considering symbolism; you've got the Big Guy (Illusion), the woman (Manipulation) and the short squatty guy (Consequences). Maybe they need the scholar (Mercy) to sort of leaven things out?

Dunno... maybe I should just hush up and watch the eps? ^__^

**sigh** Did I get to submerge myself in the rest of the 100 Stories eps last night? No, I did not. Forgot that my friend Iseult was coming over to show some beads she had made... Oh well; I had just gotten to the point in ep 4 where the short squatty guy turns around and makes a horrible face and the poor young human scholar falls over and twitches, which was ENTIRELY unexpected and made me laugh hysterically. You know, I'd do exactly the same thing if I could... make people twitch like that, I mean. Several prospective victims (including ex-bosses and the snotty clerk at the local Walmart yesterday) come to mind...

Clerk: "Oh, was that on sale--? Too bad; you'll just have to pay-- oh, fine, let me call my manager. Some people--"
Ysabet: **looks down and rummages around in her purse for a second, then looks back up at clerk with a FACE OF PURE HORROR**
Clerk: "AAAAIIIIEEEEE!!!" **thud**
Manager: **walks up** "Uh-- Winona? Winona, why are you lying there frothing at the mouth?"

If you find any Falkier/Ahiru DJ from Princess Tutu I'd love to see one! I've seen at least 5-6 different ones flit past on yahoo.japan, so I know they're out there! You're going hunting hwile in japan again, right?

Anyway, if you do see anything, there's a relatively short list of IY ones I'd still want. A few Mirosan hentai I'm still lacking that look nice, I don't have ANY with Jaken yet, but would only be interested in a nice humorous one, possibly a House Da House one. Hmm, perhaps would you want me to send cover scans of the few I know of that I'd like?

I also have been hunting for anything FullMetal Alchemist that is either gag, Ed/Winry, or Roy/Liza. Have you seen the one that I own already? I've got the one with chibi WInry hugging Ed's arm and I've got scans of one with a chibi-ish Winry and a very chibi Ed and Al.

Lastly, I've been wanting a Full Metal Panic DJ and I have none. Chidori/Sousuke, and hopefully a nice one. Also kinda want a Loki DJ, but no idea what I want for that since I'm not even sure what pairings I like for sure.. Although I've some friends whom I could blackmail most mightily with Loki/Mayra hentai.

Umm... not so sure how we're gonna do on specfic doujinshi. Last year's Inuyasha selection was...depressing.
Kinda afraid that FMA is gonna be like that this year, it takes a little bit for the doujinshi to get to the Mandarake.

And going into the Hentai section is a giant no-no when you're a single female and about as well endowed as Naga. I did it last time and managed to embarrass the 10 or so guys in the room as well as my self. #^^#

I'd be interested in a Chrno/Rosette DJ myself. There was another series that I just thought of, but I forgot... Got the directions to each place done and even found we are like 4-5 mins from one mandarake! And some places are going to be insane to get to and from. Should be lots of fun exploring. Also confirmed our tickets.

Must tell y'all about this. I went to my friends Devora & Brendan's potluck/birthday party/general revel Sunday night (Icka? you met them, remember? the house with all the bats), and one of the people there, a guy who I had only met a couple of times, announced that he had just been introduced to anime for the very first time.

Guess what his friends had picked out for him to watch? Oh, go ahead; just guess.

Yep-- "Legend of the Overfiend." And apparently this guy is a splattergore fan; he figured he could handle basically *anything*. Wrong-o... he said he just sat there and stared, occasionally picking up his jaw and putting it back into place before hiding behind a large sofa-pillow. He also announced that he'll never, ever be able to think of sushi the same way again (must've been the tentacles)..... Gotta tell you, his expressions were really *interesting* to behold when he was talking about this. Poor guy.

Forgot to ask this earlier, Oh Great Onimpotent Fount of Knowledge Regarding Anime/Manga: Have you run across any 100 Stories fanfics? Can't find 'em for love or money. Also, it DOES have a manga, doesn't it? I hope? Have been looking around under the title Mono Gakari (I *think* that's correct), but I haven't found a single volume. Dammit, dammit, dammit; did NOT need a new addiction, but I keep coming up with YnM crossover-plunnies..... Guess it depends on what era the storyline's taking place during. They have rifles, so... I dunno, turn of the century, maybe? I haven't seen what becomes of the scholar guy yet (I assume SOMETHING becomes of him by the end of the 13th ep), so it's hard to plot these out without knowing. Man, I hope they don't just abandon him and disappear or whatever; I skipped ahead and saw the end of ep 7 while checking something, and that bit where he follows them into the shadows was both creepy and poignant. Creepily poignant? Poignantly creepy? Creepgnant? No, that last one does not work, Ysabet; sounds like the same of some sort of gardening product.

So you could conceivably have him much older than Tsuzuki; he *was* Tsuzuki's partner originally, and you wouldn't partner a complete neo with an inexperienced newbie, would you? This leads me to believe that Tatsumi's much older than Tsuzuki, soooo...
