Gratuitous Art Day

ickaimpOne week to Japan. o_O
Toilet now fixed, Bathroom clean, took a shower for the first time since Sunday (huzzah!) and got one of the sketchbooks scanned ... that's 16 pictures.
One more sketchbook to go. *sighs*

The Shinigami Stories is haunting us again. Working on Sonoko and Sato/Takagi pics currently, Conan will be scanned tomorrow. Did one of Heiji that didn't come out well at all, so will be re-drawn.

A blank page in a sketch book and 'Robin Hood:Men in Tights" on the screen is a dangerous combination.
Quite sure there's a story behind this pic besides the amusement factor, but dang if I know what it is.

Little Red Riding Ed

elffromspace that we wanted to Ed as 'Little Red Riding Hood' sometime (dude, it fits) and she some-what sorta challenged us to make it a non-pairing fic. Then Armstrong decided he wanted to be in it, and we're currently watching the fic mutate before our eyes...

morgan_idril is very evil. She gives us plunnies. Evil plunnies. Chibi plunnies.
Ways for Al to get Ed out of tricky situations. The first one contains a line from Sorcerer Hunters. Bonus points if you can name the character.

Watching some recent episodes of Naruto, it was commented on that Shikamaru's lamenting about wanting a normal life was very similar to a certain character from Haunted Junction... ^^;;
Midnight. Waiting for the Train.
Train was supposed to show up at 10. It left the station at 1am. ¬_¬ I had company waiting in the form of a cricket. ^___^ He disappeared just before the train arrived.
Deer, Anwa and Zeke
Some really old original characters. Furries are so much easier to draw than humans or chibies or anime style, they really they are. Yeah, they're a family.

Kinda strikes me that my art is kinda like our fics... rather simple and tending towards comedic. Heh. *amused*

The Delicate Flower one is from Renn Faire, where a girl chased a bunch of guys with a sword while screaming that. Put an imperious tone on the 'I'. Talk to Ysabet about it, she tells it really well.
Glad you like the family pic, was kinda leery about putting it up, but I find it funny how much my style changes when I draw my characters, compared to fanart.
Er, nope on writing the GW/FMA xover. Bug Morgan on that, it's her plunnie. ^__^

Date: 2004-03-26 10:21 am (UTC)Was at an SCA event (which is sort of like a Renfaire, yes, only not for profit; we're the whackos you see running around occasionally at public parks and so forth in medieval garb or armor, waving big swords made out of rattan; the females, by the way, are the mean ones). My friend Lizzie, who is a tallish, very pretty newbie-fighter. She's only recently started fighting in what we call 'hardsuit' (plate armor) and is showing a definitely agressive streak, which female fighters frequently do. So there she was out on the field, being whapped at by a more-skilled friend of hers (male), when her temper finally took over; she proceeded to charge him, thwap him but good, and chase him all over the place yelling "I-- AM A DELICATE FLOWER, YOU FUCKWIT!!!" Being an intelligent guy, her opponent ran like hell; I was watching from the sidelines, and I damn near required surgery afterwards due to laughing too hard.

And Red Riding hood, I dunno if it can help having some pervy implications, given the story, but pervy implications are funnier when they're not supported (the characters get mad about em, and they're just plain wrong and obviously so)
If you used Armstrong for the wolf, and then he ate Pinako, the granny we could have Armstrong/Pinako forever! WHEEE
