Mini Conan Drinking Game
Jan. 29th, 2004 08:53 pmSo I curled up and watched a couple of Detective Conan episodes off of the 4th Set.
And just to keep things amusing (Which they always are, watching Conan), we made up a little drinking game.
Take a drink:
• whenever you see a dead body. (this racks up pretty quick thanks to flashbacks)
• for every person who screams upon the discovery of a dead body
• if Conan is the first (after the screaming person) to get to the body. (*blam!* "there's the scream! and they're off!" *hums horse racing music*)
• when there's that little lightening bolt and chirpy music as Conan figures something out
• if someone cries during the confession.
• if Ran cries
• if you're looking at the murderer and wondering why they had to go thru this grand complicated scheme when it would have been a lot easier to simply take the person out back, kill 'em and drop the body in a deep place somewhere. Or push them out a window. Y'know, K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple, Stupid. No body, no worries, no screaming, no Conan.
Well, we watched 4 episodes and finished off two big mugs of tea.
Favourite line (from the end of the Dracula Castle Case):
Conan: What's Next? Werewolves?

Date: 2004-01-30 12:30 pm (UTC)I read the fic-bits collection on ff.net (before it went down
-_- ) and was all like, wow, there's another Gosho series besides Conan?, did a bit of searching on the internet and could not find out a thing about it. I've gathered there are 3 volumes, its been discontinued, and think I have a general sense of the characters and general story line (more from your fic-bits than anything else) and was wondering ... could you please give me the title of this series? I was planning to go into town tomorrow, and thought I might swing by Book Off to look for it. This would be much appreciated.
The others things are simply, can I add you to my lj friends list? I already read all your Loki stuff last month when I discovered that series too, and think I would like to keep up with your writing. And since the fic links on your site seem only to bring up page not found errors (or maybe thats only the fics I want to read) and did I mention ff.net is down, is there anywhere else I can find them?
Sorry for bothering you!

Magic Kaito. Well, our Icka is somewhat more into this series than the DC...

Gosho has a few other series besides Conan: (newest to oldest)
Magic Kaito (3 books with reoccuring rumours of a new 4th)
Yaiba (24 books)
Goshow Presents (short stories - 1 book)
Yoban Saato/Third Base Fourth (baseball with a magic bent- 1 book)
Yaiba has his own anime as well, 52 episodes. Rice-Box anime is fansubbing them one every 2 months. (so sloooooow) It's kinda dragonball-ish with swords, but lots of fun. ^__^
No bother at all!
Umm... my DC/MK stories are generally archived 1 of 4 places.
Here, FF.net, Mischif.net or Hibbah and Valerie's DC fanfic archive, which is currently down.
Which stories were down on mischif.net? Will try to fix as soon as possible. Need to do another fic update anyway. (*groan* short fics alone is about 40 ~_~ )
Yes, please feel free to add me to your friends list! May I add you? (trying hard not to go fangirl, you're a very good authour!)
Um... I don't know how far away you are from Nakano (argh! Can't find my english tokyo subway map! >_< ), but if you're looking for cheap manga and doujinshi, you might wanna try the Mandarake in the Nakano Sun Mall. Most of it's used, but in good condtion, so you can pick up manga and djs for 200 yen. XD and it's scattered throughout the 5 stories of the mall. (which is cool, they have different rooms for everything!)
Word to the wise: Do not ask any of the male clerks where the yaoi djs are. They also get really flustered when you ask them for hentai. Instead, ask a girl. *nods*

Date: 2004-01-31 01:22 am (UTC)From memory, and I only really looked at the Conan fics, because I'm more familiar with that series, the first part of the angsty one, Immortality, is down, all the fanart is down, the first part to a lot of things are down, but the second and third parts work, and what else? I'm sure there were more, but nothing comes to mind.
sure, you can friend me! Just be warned, the last time I really updated my journal was in September. I'm surprised anyone remembers me, its been ages since I wrote anything.
And I'm two hours by Shinkansen from Nakano (assuming Nakano's in Tokyo?), so I think my local Book Off will have to suffice. I got most of my Conan manga there for 100 yen each, so I'm happy with it. Are you in Tokyo btw? Or once were?
