Our habit of using strange things to wrap presents contiues.
This year, Dad's gift is in about 10 grocery bags, one on top of each other, wrapped up with construction twine.
... I'm being generous. Usually we used different colours of duct-tape.

New picture up on Mischif.net, bit of Kid/Aoko fluff. According to my sketchbook, I drew it 18 Dec 2002, and you can see how my art style has shifted over the past year. (didn't have the photoshop skills to colour it properly until this recently)

And bit of random insantiy to start the day (well, for me) off:

“Moshi moshi, Kuroba residence.” The older woman’s voice was cheerfully festive as she answered the phone.

”Hi, Aunty” Aoko smiled at Kaito’s mother, even if she couldn’t see it. “Do you know where your son is?”

There was a slight pause.

“Not… here.” Was the hesitant response.

“He’s building snowmen again.”

“Oh, dear.” The woman’s voice sounded slightly strained. “He didn’t use the hot water bottle again, did he?”

”Doesn’t look like it.” Aoko said with false cheer as she looked out the window again, watching her friend building panicking snow people. “This year, he somehow got the snowplow involved.”

Based off those old great Calvin & Hobbs Snowmen Strips. Because it seems like a very Kaito-ish thing to do.
No, I don't know what's he's doing with the snowplow, but we can imagine. ^___^

Yup. If Kaito didn't go goofy, no body would go that per Aoyama.

Speaking, some bugs in the updated mischif.net:
1. Anything from Tdei's art in Treasure->Arts linked to Tdei's.
2. Old problem in Writing->CLAMP: "Run Around" and "Family Secret" are actually at oak, not pine.
3. And, it's "Magic Kaito", not "Magic Kaitou."

Thanks!

Fixed the links, thanks!

According to what dictionaries I can find 'Kaitou' means 'Phantom/Mysterious Thief'.
'Kaito' is an old english word for 'uncultivated land' or 'heathen'. It's also a British Rock Group (www.boces.demon.co.uk/index2.htm)
Since the usual literal translation of the series name is 'Magic Thief', I use 'Kaitou' ^^;;

No, the title of the series is Magic Kaito, without the u. AOyama seemed to point to the class clown not the phentom thief.
