It was stupid of him, he knew. Very petty.

But that still wasn't going to wipe the feeling of satisfaction that came from coating the Enjaku Detective Agency's windows with several paintball pellets. Simply because it would irritate Loki.

Irritating wasn't quite as good as suffering, but anything that annoyed Loki was a victory in his book.

"You know, you really shouldn't do that." A bubbly voice behind him spoke up, startling him slightly. He glanced up to see the pink haired girl that followed Loki around leaning over to smile at him. "You'll poke your eye out."

Heimdall stared at her.

She smiled back, as innocently as a lamb to the slaughter.

That had to be one of the most spectacularly stupid things he'd ever heard anyone say to him.

He continued to stare at her.

She continued to smile back, the cheerful expression never wavering.

No one could be that monumentally obtuse, could they?

Heimdall debated briefly if Loki had mentioned at some point that the hair hanging over the right side of his face wasn't a fashion statement, then concluded that he probably hadn't. Wasn't quite the Trickster God's style.

It was probably much more entertaining to sit back and watch the human blunder into situations like this.

Which, now that he thought about it, was probably why he continued to let her drag him around.

Also probably because it just wasn't worth the fight.

Much like this.

He placed the paintball gun against his shoulder, turned and simply walked away.

"Right."

LIKED the Loki thing; dammit, I do *not* need to get hooked on another series just now. Is the pink-haired girl really that dumb? I mean, at this point she sounds like she doesn't have two brain-cells to click together for sparks; of course, if I had pink hair, it'd probably drain away all MY intelligence too. Can't think of a single pink-haired, noticibly non-bimboid in any anime anywhere (tons of redheads, yeah, but not pink. Nope).....

Heimdall has a wee bit of an obsession, doesn't he? Somebody needs to send him one of those "It's All Fun & Games 'til Somebody Loses An Eye" t-shirts.

Hey, Icka? When you went to Japan last year, did you ever stay at a ryokan or minshuku? Have been looking at 'em online lately-- there are some wonderful guide sites. The minshuku look more interesting-- hang on, didn't you stay in some family-run place? Was that a minshuku?

Ryokan. In Nagano-seikawei we were about a block from the main exit on the Marachino line. (er, spelling is in 'Imp in Japan')
I found a bunch of tokyo maps and info while going thru my suitcase, will be bringing them along.

As far as the weather, what kind of clothing should I bring? I'm packing tank tops, but I'm notorious for wearing layers.
