Ao3 Hit Meme

Donated to Ao3 about two months ago, was actually kinda confused that we couldn't link it to our account. Huh.
Anyway. We're actually kinda picky about what we put up on Ao3, there's so many good authors/fics up there that I try to post either the fics we're especially proud of, or small rare fandom. Which usually amounts to the same thing.
Don't actually have a lot of DC/MK up, because we've written so much that I've kinda forgotten everything we've done, and am not really sure about what to post. (suggestions are welcome)

Odd thing, all three of our Sherlock fics made our top 10 hits. o_O So did all the smut on that account. ~_~



1:) Improbability - Sherlock / Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

This one still gets comments on DW as well. Just a bit of fluff. The image hit, laughed over it for about 10 minutes, so we typed it up. Still cannot believe how popular it is. Think it goes to show that my strength is short fic, not long.
Actually consider John slightly OOC in this one, when he snaps at Sherlock 'Do keep up!', but it wouldn't let me write it any other way. ^^;;

Honestly wonder if this wouldn't have gotten so many hits if it hadn't been for Porn_Battle. This was possibly going to tie into another fic, which never got completed due to my computer abruptly dying.

Alice is trapped between the Hatter and a Hard Place.

This one actually does have sex, was for the fandom kinkmeme before the kinkmeme got taken over by one person demanding ficcage. More a character study than smut, was very mellow to write. Used the Whoohoo UK translator to get Tarrant's accent right.
My only regret is that it gave me a rep for smut in that fandom, and I'm not very comfortable with that. Especially when said person started stalking my regular LJ to request it.

4:) Tea and Aliens - Sherlock (TV)
There was an alien on the ceiling.

Recently saw on Torchwood an alien that almost matched my mental image of Sherlock as a alien in this one. Had a sequel from Sherlock's POV started, but never continued, once again due to laptop death.

Kotetsu and Nathan are good friends. This means loaning each other the occasional crash space. Or shoulder.

Kinda wanted to write more in this fandom, but this is the only one that really demanded getting done. Once again, character study instead of smut, but I really love the way Kotetsu and Nathan are good friends.

Written within hours of seeing the Midnight Showing of Alice in Wonderland, the night after savvyliterate's wedding, think it might have been the first one up for the series on Ao3. The movie has always been tied to warm fuzzy feelings to me because of the wedding and friends.

7:) Werewolves of Los Angeles - Green Hornet (2011)
Idea spawned from the Green Hornet Kinkmeme Prompt 'Britt gets bitten by a werewolf, starts slowly turning more aggressive and having animal urges, ends up claiming Kato as his mate'. Where the plunnies didn't like the whole 'mating' aspect, they sure did like the werewolf part...

Argh. Worked for weeks on this one, still didn't come out quite right. Plus side, Grew up in LA, so was able to put in little things about the weather, which was nice. Even pulled up maps to figure out where they might live/patrol. I don't think people realise just how big or varied Los Angeles is, just crossing a street can be like stepping into a different world.

Part 2 of Making Hats is number 15 on the hit counter, strangely enough. Every so often I debate just taking down the individual stories and combine them as chapters, instead of a series. I originally did them as a series just to give the Alice section on Ao3 more fics.
This one was fun, Alice being Mad, but not quite...

10:) Gordian Knot - Meitantei Conan | Case Closed / Magic Kaitou
Relationships are complex, complicated things. Untangling them can be a task of Grecian proportions.

And the fandom I'm known for comes in 10th. Heh. This one so ate my brains for over a year. Have a minor love/hate relationship, loved the characters, but they are a lot more emotionally raw in this AU than in others.
Have Kaito/tentacle!Saguru/Heiji pron started in a sketch book somewhere.... hmm...

The Phineas and Ferb fics made up most of 10-20, which is unsurprising, seeing as what a small fandom it is. ^__^
