Heh heh heh. I love double takes.
Espeically when it's from the ticket lady when she realises that yeah, I'm buying a ticket for myself to go watch the latest Pokémon movie, when everyone else is buying tickets 2-4 hours in advance for X-men 2 and Matrix. *snerks* (I don't care if we're in my mid-twenties, if I wanna go watch the Pokémon movie opening night, then I'm gonna watch the Pokémon movie opening night! Nyeh!)

Overall, I had a good time. Of course, I had stopped by the Japanese grocery store just before I went into the movie, so I had takoyaki *drooooooooooools* (so glad they have it now!!! Next time we get it with mayo ^_^ ) fruit milk tea drink and milk tea so I could have been watching just about anything and been happy, but still, my favourite kinds of junk food and cartoons on the big screen and I'm in a whole nother level of heaven.

Action scenes were pretty good, no real Pokémon battles per say, and they kept up with the trend of naming team rocket members after Western Characters (Annie and Oakley, -I wanna know how they can run around on rooftops in leather pants and high heels) and sadly, continued with the thing of 'a few stupid humans can't keep their grubby hands off of stuff and the Pokémon hafta fix everything'. *sighs*

Finding Ash really funny... when he first meets Latias she in human form, and he's kinda wary of her. But as soon as he sees her normal form *BOOM!* instant friends. He really does seem to like Pokémon better than humans. Would not be surprised at all if he ends up marrying a Pokémon, one of the really rare and powerful ones. (Pikachu would have to approve of the bride or groom first, of course)

Also thinking Latios can produce asexually upon death. Kill one off, *Blam!* Two more.

Over all, I had fun, but I don't think we'd take my 6-year old nephew to go see it. For one, he won't sit still for TV anyway, and 2: he'd be bored. ^^;; However, I will pick it up on DVD when it comes out, if nothing else than just for the water race scene.

... and my lot-neighbour's house has been infested by bees. He's now having a BBQ. Must go see what the bees are doing. Is neat looking at them swarm around each other from close up. *Bounces!*

^_^;

Sorry, but I love takoyaki. *drooldrool* Unfortunately, not many people I know like it...lol Whenever they see me buying it, they shoot me weird looks....*grins*

No, I haven't tried okonomi-yaki yet, kept meaning too, but something always comes up. Gah.

*looks rebellious*

That and also again because none of my friends are really really crazy about Japanese food like I am. *laughs* Yakitori and sushi, they don't mind, but the others, they draw the line. Gah.

If you have a Shabu-Shabu place near you, they might like that.
Um... 'Hot Pot'. The table has boiling water usually built into it, and you dunk your food in there to cook. The name 'Shabu-shabu' comes from the sound the meat makes when you cook it 'swish-swish'.
Is a lot of fun watching the meat cook! Is thinly sliced and only takes a few seconds.
Does tend to be a little on the expensive side tho.

I don't think we have a Shabu-Shabu place where I live...*thoughtful* Never heard of one...we only have revolving sushi, and the usual japanese food restuarants that sell sushi, ramen, etc etc...

We do have a kind of Korean BBQ thing that is called Seoul Garden that is someone similar to what you are describing...^_^
