”I don’t know.” Ran said, giving him a perplexed look. “All she said was ‘He shouldn’t have told you Angel. Run.’”

"So how does it feel to be going up against your former employers, Eris?"
"Just fine." The statuesque blond cocked her shotgun with a feral grin. "Looking forward to killing them, Artemis-chan."
Aoko grinned back, her own expression just as bloodthirsty, if not more so.

"How's life treating you?"
"Eh. Same old, same old. Haven't been kidnapped by a wandering magician for a while, guess I was overdue. You?"

"You're going to lose her if you don't do something, Kansuke."

Yuugi stared at the three Eygyptians as he stepped off the plane. "I'M TAKEN!" He immediately declared loudly, his nerves frazzled from the past several visits with friends.
Rashid, Isis and Malik nodded, their expressions clearly stating that they thought he was loony. "Taken where?" Bakura wanted to know.

Life did not turn out how Susan Murphy expected it to.

"Maybe I should start sleeping in the middle." Will muses.
"My space heater." Layla growls, throwing a possessive arm around Warren's hips. "MINE."
... Or not. Well, they couldn't blame him for trying. Warren really was a good bed warmer.

The next week, Mary presented John with a new waistcoat. It had twenty-four buttons closing the front.
Buttons were all the latest fashion, she informed him cheerfully.

“You know what?” Dib said calmly, making the kind of executive decision that had conquered galaxies. “Fuck it.” He pressed an intercom button, not bothering to turn off the Ship-to-Earth communications. “Hey Zim? You have a half hour to destroy the planet. Have fun.”

The fact that they needed Blackarachnia’s help at all showed how desperate things had gotten. The greatest Cybertronian minds were completely baffled by what they simply called ‘The Outbreak’.

Adam relaxed, letting out a sigh of relief. “Thanks man.”
”No problem.” Richie grinned, showing teeth. “Of course, should you not make Sharon happy, just keep these two things in mind. One, I keep a steady supply of liquid nitrogen on hand. Two, I have a very good grasp of the male anatomy.”

Jake lost track of time as he finally narrowed down where the leak was. Working on cars wasn’t the same as working on his beloved TurboKat, but there was something relaxing about being elbow deep in the guts of a machine, working on it getting it up to maximum efficiency.

But one of the things that separated man from the beasts appeared to be the use of utensils to eat their food with. And the food tended to be cooked. And something other than meat. So he was attempting to get used to eating grains again.
His digestive track both loved and hated him for this.

“...And the reception in here is so bad that all you can pick up is ‘Cheap Trick’.” Sam concluded.
Bumblebee shrugged. “-Oh, didn't I, didn't I, didn't I see you crying? Feeling all alone without a friend you know you feel like dying-”

The fact that her best friend was actually a runaway supposedly rouge infiltration unit who could look like anyone he wanted to an added bonus.

He’d taken German in anticipation of moving here, but the German that he’d learned in school and the German that was spoken in Germany wasn’t entirely the same and he found himself lost and confused more times than he cared to count.

“What was your first time with?”
”Huh?”
”Boy or girl?”

He doesn’t have any trouble making friends. It’s keeping them that’s the hard part.

She fluttered her eyelashes playfully at him and purred. "You know what my kink is."
He was off and running for the shower before his clothing could hit the floor.
