MaLoki Name/suffix Notes
Nov. 21st, 2003 05:21 amUm.. WiP thing, because we got tired of wracking our brains for what everyone calls each other.
Help is appreciated.
Most the Gods call each other by name, no suffix.
Except for Freya and the Norns calling Loki "Loki=sama"
Freya also calls Freyr 'Oniisama' (before bashing him over the head with tubs)
Freyr refers to her as "Imouto" or "Freya-chan"
Freyr calls Mayura "Yamato Nadeshiko" (Perfect Woman/Perfect Japanese Woman), can't quite seem to call her by name.
Mayura calls him "Kaitou-san"
Mayura calls Heimdall 'Higashiyama-kun'.
Mayura: "Loki-kun" "Yamino=san" "Narugami-kun"
Narugami calls Yamino "Megane" (Glasses)
Yamino refers to Ecchan as "Punyan-san".
Yamino calls Loki "Loki-sama" most of the time. When really worried or snake form, he's "Chichiue" (speach patterns seem to shift in Serpent mode...)
Yamino calls Fenrir "Niisan", in Serpent mode, "Aniki"
Fenrir calls Loki "Daddy" (sounds almost british, IMHO.'dah-dee' vs 'da-dee')
Kotaru calls Loki "Tantei" (Detective)
Loki calls Kotaru "Kou-chan".
Loki calls Narugami 'Narukami-kun'
And he calls Mayura, "Mayura", with no suffix. (refering to her as an equal possibly?)
... what am I forgetting? Don't have access to some of my eps right now... ^^;;

Date: 2003-11-21 08:06 pm (UTC)I'm pretty sure Yamino-kun calls Thor Narugami-san, although he -sama's the rest of the gods, I think.
Also, Loki calling Mayura by her first name is understandable if you think of his mental age -- a few years older than her and kind of not exactly talking down to her -- but if a nine year old called me by my first name only in Japan, I'm pretty sure he'd be nursing a lump to the head shortly thereafter.
Hmm
Date: 2003-11-22 06:20 am (UTC)Yamino-kun only ever calls Loki "Chichiue" when he's in his real form (unless I missed something in the manga, it's really just in his Midgardsorm form that he'd address his father as father.)
Fenrir calls Loki "Daddy" in his face, but "Oyaji" behind his back. Such a backstabbing child. n_n
That's all I can think of.
Re: Hmm
Date: 2003-11-22 06:20 am (UTC)Yamino-kun addresses Heimdall as "Heimdall-san". I am not too sure how he'd address Freyr... "Freyr-san"?

As soon as I get my DVDs back, will have to re-watch as well.

Wouldn't that be a few centuries older? *laughs* ... sorry, still tripping on that.
Thanks!

Yamino's being the hardest to pin down for names... he's just so damn nice. ~_~
