For those tired of the traditional carols by now, my annual posting of Cthulu Carols!!!
The Carol of the Old Ones remains my favourite, although 'Tentacles' to the tune of 'Jingle Bells' is a close second.

And on the 9th Day before Christmas, Auntie Icka gave to me:

Bought the carol book for a friend at Comic Con... who promptly went and found someone who has the CDs and gave me copies. I love Carol of the Olde Ones too, although I also like "Oh Come All Ye Olde Ones".

And "Away in a Madhouse" makes people look at you really weird when you sing it at work over "Away in a Manger".

*scratches head* Maybe it's just me, since no one else mentioned it, but Heiji's face looks odd in that. That...is Heiji right? Maybe I've just been staring at too many Neanderthal renderings lately, but he has that..square look from one, where usually your Heiji is more..pointed.

Either way though, the art is pretty! I always have this urge to colour your art since your lines are so pretty, plus the shading on the walls and Saguru are beautiful. My shading looks like I smudged something wrong(then again, I do usually draw with eyeliner since all my pencils have been stolen).

The curls to Saguru's tentacles are wonderful, I can almost see them shifting and curling.

.... okay, yes, so obviously it's from LATER in 'Taste of Flames'.

The funny part is that he will still have -some- clothing on in the fic, it's just he always ends up naked when I draw him with the tentacles. Because somehow? Wearing a shirt with the tentacles coming out from under it is more obscene looking than no shirt at all.

I think his face looks odd because he's got a longer distance from his nose to his chin than I usually draw him with. And yeah, the chin is a little bit more squared off than usual.

The hardest part I find with pencils is keeping the nice shading when I get it into the computer. The scanner hates pencils with a passion and the camera will occasionally do funky things with the shading and gradients.

... am also annoyed because I misplaced the pencils I use for shading, so I have some art that is half-way done, just waiting for the rest of the shading. (including one odd one from the chapter after Taste of Flames, where the background is done, but none of the characters)

Oh, cool! I don't have any of the music save for the free stuff on the site, but it's what helps keep my sanity during the over-production of christmas carols during December.
... It's either that or start griping about the historical inaccuracies in the songs.... ^^;;
