So William showed me the new Applegeeks Lite strip and somehow things got a little mixed up in my head.

Picture King Leonidas from 300 shouting "This. Was. A. TRIUMPH!" instead of 'This is Sparta!' and "I'm Making a Note Here - Huge Success!" instead of 'Tonight we dine in hell!'.

Then flip it. Instead of the opening lyrics to 'Still Alive', the Portals Robot sweetly singing "This is Sparta... Tonight, we dine, in hell."

.... It works strangely well. o_o

I think the strip is also referencing Doctor Who because the exact same thing happens at the beginning of "The Sontaran Stratagem" in series 4. Not sure if you got that far into it. Of course, sans Portal reference. ^_^

There've been real-life instances of people driving into rivers because their sat-nav told them to... mainly when bridges were removed after the maps had been programmed :p

But still, the ATMOS System (tautology, lol) was one of the first things I thought of on seeing that comic.
