I totally get what you mean about the cleaning....I've gotten to where I can do dishes when other people are around, but the rest? I need them to move out of my way so I can clean, and while they are moving, how 'bout CLEANING!!!
DnD was, so far, the best session. I was afraid I had actually thrown too much at the party, then started losing track of which monster was getting hit at any point in time. I was very pleased with how everyone has come to understand the system, and there's a present for everyone once I can confirm that all are in the maillist.
As far as knowing something's over the horizon and building...sometimes the anticipation is a delicious tension, sometimes it's interminable.
