Duo would probably make a very good teacher, if a bit unethical about his teaching style, but I'd worry that their personalities would be a bit too similar and *BOOOM*.
Was discussing Genkai from Yu*Yu*Hakusho, but one of the first big fight arcs in the series was the fight to become her student, so that's out. And she kinda not really dead.
Yuusake was a possibility too, but he's running a ramen shop.
... and now I've got this weird mental image of Jiichan swirling Sakura's staff around and transforming into poofy dresses and OMG MY EYES!!! *wanders off to scrub eyes with iron wool scrubbers*
