Holydays Wish List
Nov. 21st, 2006 12:18 pmWell, since my birthday's tomorrow... Or, Today, in NZ. ^^;; Good excuse as any.
Step One
- Make a post (public, friends-locked, filtered... whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 mumblemumble holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your flist (or friend’s friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just... wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
Um... I don't have 10... Problem is I'm trying to get RID of things, so I don't really want physical stuff.
The Easy:
1. HUGS.
I seem to have lost my hug reflex. I want it back. HUG ME!!! I'm cute and squishy!!!okay, maybe not cute...
2. Icons.
Need more icons of various characters smiling. ^______^
3. Fanart / Fanfic.
Duuuuuuuude. Much love. Fanart especially for scenes I haven't been able to draw. (TGZ- either 'Guru or Kaito asleep on the other while riding a bus, GD fanservice, etc)
The Not-So Easy:
4. Electronica Music - TRANCE
Haven't heard any good stuff in a while. Either that, or does anyone have 'Zombie Nation'? Been wanting Ysabet to hear it... Cold Comfort by Curve, Paul Oakenfold, Fatboy Slim, Ministry of Sound, etc
5. Digital Camera
Just a small one, doesn't need much memory. Been looking around Tucson and realising that I kinda wanna -show- people this. The mountains at sunset, the cactus in mid-air, the pepto-bismo purple house, the blue gorilla we found in the eucalyptus tree yesterday. Just something small I can carry in a pocket.
6. Job leads.
Not asking for a job, but if someone knows of something I can do until Feb... ^^;; Preferably part-time so I can continuing the nanny-ing job. (this way we can afford to travel to Japan in the spring)
The Damn Near Impossible:
7. Travel.
Anywhere I haven't been before. ^________^ Or, some places I have. XD
-Anyone asking for fanart for fics on their wish list, if you could also list scenes or what you'd like drawn. 'Any Fanart' leaves too many variables. ^^;;
