Hahahahaha.
Watching 'Not Another Teen Movie' for the first time and spotting all the scenes that are filmed at my High School.
So far, Senior Quad, Possibly the Boys locker room, Definately the Girl's Locker Room (they actually filmed the girls in the girls locker room, unlike Buffy. *snerk*), the area between the A buildings and the Home Ec building, and the smaller cafeteria in the C building.

-And that's Peir by Third Street Promanade in Santa Monica!! *laughs*

See? this was why I still can't watch Buffy... *watches to see what part of the school is shown next, highly amused* That's the international terminal in LAX, but that's not what the security checkpoint looks like...

In the mean time, [livejournal.com profile] scans_daily is amusing us greatly. hee hee hee

:D I can't imagine seeing my school on TV. My school isn't photogenic enough for TV, it seems. *le sigh*

Did you get the second batch of d/l links?

My first year of High School was the Last Year they filmed Beverly Hills 90210 there, my last year of High School was the First Year they filmed Buffy the Vampire Slayer there. Couple of movies filmed in between.
It just was something that people got used to, like the bomb scares from rabid fans trying to blow up the school cause they didn't like how the TV plots were going.
... in retrospect, kinda weird, but it was normal for then. *shrugs*.

The music video Gimme That by Chris Brown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gimme_That) amuses me greatly because its all filmed at Union Station (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Union_Station_(Los_Angeles)) in Downtown LA. ^^;; Do the same thing, sit there and name the locations.

Yes! Thank you and my apologies, am completely slack at responding to e-mails. ~_~

Scary. I knew your school looked familiar - I love Bring it On in that cracked-out sort of way I love Pixie Stix.

...that's so strange! But it does explain your anime roots; California and all that.

*shrug* Don't worry about it. I just wanted to make sure because I'm going to publish the links to my flist, but I wanted to know you (and Em) had gotten them safely already.

I got kicked out of "the last samurai" because of laughing so hard.. a portion of it was filmed a few minutes walk from my parent's house.

And watching it the geography didn't match what they were doing.

Sixth Sense was weird for related reasons -- I used to spend Christmas (and the occasional bit-of-summer) on the block much of it was set on.

One of my first thoughts was, "Funny, I don't remember those trees..."

( Meanwhile, watching National Treasure was fun, because they actually did not rearrange the city. )

*laughs* Yup, know that feeling very well. ^____^

Think you're lucky, they usually end up rearranging the school all around and it gets kinda weird watching it, cause things aren't always where they say they are.

*laughs* Pity, that's a pretty decent movie too.

Watching Lord of the Rings with David is always fun, because he sits there and names the locations of where it was shot... ^^;;

Actually, I don't know my way around Philadelphia that well. (Particularly the touristy areas, which I usually merely wandered through while heading to bead, yarn, or book stores or a few of the museums. I will admit that the main reason I want to go back is a specialty book store, too...)

So, I had this person I was watching the movie with, who grew up there, making loud, happy comments about how they'd not rearranged her hometown.

I was generally going "..." and thinking that she's quieter when they decided to redo the map.
