All right. So. I finally tracked down some Death-T scans. Unfortunately, just the beginning and the very end, so missing the whole Chopman thing. (which is a pity, I really enjoyed that part when I had the japanese manga)

But realised upon reading it just how much of the YGO fandom is built around the anime, not the manga.

Contrary to many fics, at least at the beginning of Death-T, which is pre-anime, Kaiba has a full conglomerate of servants, including one -incredibly- scary looking butler. Who gleefully helps Mokuba's attempt to poison Jounouchi and Yuugi.

Kaiba's Tower in the middle of Domino City is also an Amusement Park, Kaiba Land. The top floors are where Death-T was held. Must now edit my own stuff.

Rather amusing to see Jounouchi running around in the second chapter looking for a celebrity in their school. Especially since they don't realise/find out that Seto is the head of Kaiba Corp until the start of Death-T, couple of volumes later.
Which kinda makes me wonder just how much of the school Seto has snowed.

Also forgot just how much Honda likes his guns, Jounouchi likes his swords and Yuugi likes his monsters. *cackles*

... uh, that's meant in a non-pervy way... But I know you guys, feel free to run with it. *waves hands, has given up*

Anyone else notice the parallel in the game Bakura traps them in and the end of the series? Hmm...

I'll try to scan the rest of the chopman arc when I have the chance (scanner is attacher to little sis's computer). What part does you scans leave off?

Considering that Bakura is my favourite Character from that series, I think I might have thought of it at one point.
Not too fond of Akunadin though. :c/

And the YugiOh manga is soo sinister at the beginning. heh >c3

What's the Chopman thing already? %Has read the whole manga in french.% The city duel?

I never really got much into Bakura... Seto, Mokuba and Jounouchi always flipped around as to who was my favourite character. Sometimes one would beat out the others, but it's always been a close thing. (all three are my favourite character? -_o?)

The middle of Death-T, (somewhere around volume 5-ish?) Chopman is a serial killer whom Jounouchi defeats.
We were having a debate in chat if Jounouchi had killed Chopman or not. (something about a candle and a puddle of oil) gnee.

Oh, gods is is sinister in the beginning! XD Also find it interesting how Yuugi-Oh evolved... first he's a Vengeful Spirit, then he's 'Yuugi's Potential Unleashed', then he's a 'Pharoah without a Memory'.
It was like the authour started out with one idea then it morphed...

This is one of my hobbies, tracking down various manga scanlations. Is great fun!

Yeah, I'm fond of the series before it went all Duellist... with all the strange games Yuugi-Oh plays. ^_____________^

Had completely forgotten about that scene... yeah. Think if my cheese-for-Brains memory is correct, it happens after that...

I've found/got about 55% of the series scanlated, keep meaning to sit down and read what we've got... but yeah, find the earlier stuff to be more interesting than the later stuff in a lot of ways.

Hmm... that's true. Keep forgetting how much of an impact editors make.. ^^;;

Man, I am going to be downloading like a, well, a downloading THING today... scans, mmmmm... Have to admit, I do like Bakura in a slightly horrified sort of way; think it's because he's sort of an unashamed-to-be-evil-and-enjoying it character. Justification? What is this justification that you speak of? And besides, he's snarky AND intelligent. **sigh** If I had an evil twin, mine would probably spend too much time chortling over her vile deeds and not enough time doing them to amount to anything. Just as well, actually, since the first thing I'd probably do would be to take over California...

Woot! Lemme know what you think of the scans... think you might be surprised at some of the characters, how they differ in the anime vs the manga.
for one thing, Jounouchi's more bad-ass and WINS a lot more fights! XD
