Takes place between 'Picking the Big Apple' and 'Gotham'.

Saguru looked at him from out of the corner of his eye. Considering that the detective was wearing his glasses and wouldn't be able to see him from that angle, it was fairly amusing.

"Are you sure you know what you're doing?" Saguru asked warily, his hands flexing slightly on his thighs.

"Nope." Kaito assured him cheerfully.

That didn't seem to reassure Saguru in the least. ".... Oh."

Kaito patted Saguru's hair. "Relax. That's why I'm reading instructions before attempting anything."

Saguru paused. "Since when did guys read instructions?"

"You wanna do this yourself?" Kaito sniped.

The blond growled in return. He wouldn't be able to see to do it himself correctly. "You sure the petroleum jelly will work?"

"It's what the internet sites said." Kaito returned back to reading the notes, idly snapping the rubber gloves on his hands, making sure they were fitting his hands properly. Wrinkles in the fingers made things clumsy for what needed to be a some what dextrous job. "Ready?"

"No." Saguru sighed, tilting his head back. "But do it anyway."

"Right-o." Kaito picked up the tube of hair dye and prepared to dye Saguru's hair black. "Here we go."

"If my hair turns purple, I'm strangling you in your sleep." Saguru grumbled.

It wasn't orgininally intentional.
But then the whole thing about using petroleum jelly to stop the skin from being stained by the dye....
Then it turned intentional. ~_^

Love how Saguru's so nervous about Kaito playing with his hair *totally amused by this piece, just so you know* Ah~ It's love, I tell you~! That's the only reason that Saguru half-way trusts Kaito do dye his hair. >D

There was orginaly gonna be a comment about this being Kaito's first time dyeing hair because he usually wears wigs.

Was also debating Saguru commented that he didn't wanna dye his own cause he was worry about doing a sloppy job... but this is Saguru, with the neat freak factor.
So he'd prolly leave the bathroom a complete wreck, but have perfectly dyed hair.
... but that would be leaving evidence behind, which they don't wanna do. (the dye can be tossed in a dumpster as it is)
