ickaimpI'm not a gardener, but the shed out back now has a new vine wrapping most of the way around it. ^^;; Ran out of the main colours 2/3 thru, so it's on pause because I'm too tired and sore to haul myself down to the store to get more. So have the skeleton of a tree on the side where no one looks. ^_^
Still, was fun. Multi-coloured arms and hands..
And the disturbing trend of not-taking off my rings, getting covered in some substance and have the rings be completely un-touched continues. Is most odd. o_O
Anyway, 'Nother Drabble. Haven't seen either Matrix yet, but there's a cool song called 'Red Pill, Blue Pill' by Junkie-XL (remix of Matrix sound bytes that'll be on the Animatrix album) that comes on after midnight on Saterdays that reminds me of Haibara for some reason.
-gonna hafta pick up the Junkie-XL album once it finally comes out, 'Beauty that Never Fades' by them is what spawned Vampyre, and their 'Sleeping Policeman' cracks me up. (can just see Kid saying that... "Don't want no problems, sleeping policeman... ")
Ai hands Conan 2 capsules, each a different colour. "You take the blue pill and the story ends." She says seriously, gazing at him with solemn eyes. "You wake in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe."
"You take the red pill and you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes. The choice is yours."
He pauses, thinking as he looks at the innocent looking capsules in his hand. "And if I choose neither?"
Her answer is calm and immediate. "Then I choose for you."
"Ah." With that he swallows a capsule.

Hakuba and Kuroba are easier and a lot of fun to write. Yes, Hakuba's lawfully good, but every comedy team needs a straight man and a jokester, and those two set themselves up for it perfectly.
Is harder to bounce Conan off of people, he's more for snarky barbs. Could probably wind up Hattori and Conan and bounce them off against each other like we do for Kaito and Hakuba, but that requires figuring out how to get Heiji over from Osaka.
... go away plot bunnies...
But over all, I would have to say we do enjoy MK more than DC as a whole. Much prefer the magic/comedy aspect of Magic Kaito more then the logical aspect of Detective Conan, even tho we like both series.
really must write that ramble on characters...

Personally, I'd love to read a fic written by you on how Shin'ichi/Conan would be like if he was a goody two shoes...his REAL inner thoughts...that should provide for some interesting read.
It's not like I mind H/K though. I do very much enjoy your stories on those two, and yes, they do set themselves up perfectly. I was just curious as to why I usually see H/K updates at ff.net when I know very well you have Conan fics on your site.
I've never read ANYTHING nor seen any manga scans of MK, though I have heard that it was more...scattered with less of a plot. But it does sound highly interesting.
Do you have the entire collection for DC?

Kaitou Kid mangascans can be found on Jane's site. ^^ Still trying to find translations for all of the manga. There used to be a lady named 'Jessica' who had them done, but you had to request them and her e-mail doesn't seem to work anymore. It's also been long time since she updated.
Yeah, MK is a bit more scattered, there's less of a consistant theme thru it than DC or Yaiba. Is more like a bunch of fun romps, until you get to the end of the 3rd manga, where the whole 'Pandora' thing comes in. -which is about the time Conan came out...
The characters are also a lot goofier in MK, Kid isn't nearly as cool or collected as he is in DC, his suit is even a little bit too big for him!
Um... Yeah. My manga collection is insane, over 350 manga... 1-41 Meitantei Conan, some specials, 1-3 Magic Kaitou, Third Base Yoban, Go-Show Presents and as soon as we finish finding the rest of Yaiba (*grumbles at 'Neechan*), we'll have everything we can find of Gosho's works.

Was wondering cause we're gonna be heading down to say 'Hi' to a few friends down in San Deigo in the next month or so, the only other 'local' DC fan I talk to frequently is down there. ^^;;
Would have been funny if I'd already run into her at one of the Skurm Tribe meetings... *chuckles*
