I just LOVE your stories, Icka! This part seems very different from the original Vampyre universe stories. The first ones were more humorous. I like this style better, it gives a good view on the things the characters feel. You have a very interesting way of writing Hakuba. He has no emotions of his own, but he's still self-concious. He can think about things and analyze situations. It's great that you didn't make him a mindless zombie.
