Though I'm not sure Kaitou's the kind of guy Light would go after anyway...the only theives he's gone after are violent robbers...usually he hits the murderers, the kidnappers, the rapists, etc.
(I'm sure L probably would actually know Kid's identity though. He knows EVERYTHING.)
