Been kinda 'grr bitey' the past few days from heat and wandering around in it (106f/41c in the shade is NOT good getting lost walking weather), so am planning on holeing up the next few days and letting my brain cool down.
And maybe *gasp!* get some writing or art done, like I've been meaning to. >P
But had enough good news today that I wanted to bounce at people.
Good news on the job front (f-locked), which is a major relief.
DARKWING DUCK COMIC BOOK SERIES!!!
*sits there and re-reads previous sentence*
*sighs happily*

... Where was I?
Oh, yeah. Book. Futility, or The Wreck of the Titan Morgan Robertson. This is the book that was written 14 years before the Titanic sank, but the details are scarily similar in some aspects.
And actually, the story is more about one man's redemption. Although my remaining thought after reading it is still 'OMGWTF POLAR BEAR?!'.
Also wasn't expecting the additional stories that were attached. Kept hoping we'd go back to John Rowland, and instead we got pirates and submarines. Still, a short, enjoyable read. Polar Bears aside.
