Lived here for the first several years of my life and used to come out here every summer or every other summer.
-Forgot how much this area feels like home. Could do without the air pollution, but the adobe/pueblo houses, the plants, the feel of the land make me want to wiggle down and not leave.
That and who can argue at town names such as
'Truth or Consequences'?
(story here)-Mentioned to a lady that I haven't been here in over a decade and her response is that I haven't missed much. It's bigger, but there's still not much to do.
Anyway, trip up from El Paso was good, did some practise driving a stick (@_@) and had lunch at St. Clair Winery Bistro. Got to try some local wines, some of which were quite good.
Have apparently left the ghosts behind, although we did have a rather suspenseful moment of mysterious rhythmic wall pounding last night. It... ah... was a rather enthusiastic couple upstairs. No voices however, so it couldn't have been THAT good. ~_~
