
So today we got the Dreaded Clap.
... no, not that kind.
Evidently, it's this salesmen thing that if you get applause at the end of a presentation, that's it, game over, it's the end. No one buys, even if they were going to before.
We had a prime example of it today. Packed room, two extra couples showed up, looked like about at least 4 couples interested in cookware. Someone started clapping, everyone else clapped, room vacated in about 5 minutes, no buyers.
No real explanation for it either. N suggested that either people are clapping because we were too boring and they're glad to leave, or we were too entertaining. It's one of those mysteries, no one really knows why it happens.
I think mebbe they were Zombies.
