Weekend Retort - Mace and Greatsword
Sep. 2nd, 2008 05:58 pm... Think I just had a nerd-gasam. Dad, after many years of me pleading with him, out of the blue just sent me the genealogies that his father had been working on before he died.
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
-I have a Great-Grandmother Hubbard. Yes, just like the Nursery Rhyme. *Cackles*
-Friday-
Ran around like mad, went to Johannes and stayed up way to late to watch the first 12 episodes of 'Total Drama Island'. I like Izzy. Hee. ^___^
-Sat-
Mace and Greatsword at Mons Tonitrus! The site was lovely, I'd never been inside Fort Huachuca before and it's really lovely in there. Court was long and then Johannes, Sean and I went over to Lann's house for a quick break and fell asleep for three hours instead. Whoops.
Got back in time to watch Egan and Meadhbh step up as Baron and Baroness. Well, Johannes and Sean did, I was busy smashing soup in the kitchen for the feast. Yes, you read that correctly. Smashing soup. Didn't stay for the feast, we headed back to Lann's and our own BBQ and had a Horde slumber party. Was awesome.
Will not be volunteering to help the lady who was Feastocrating ever again. I understand that she's a lovely lady when she's not in the kitchen, and it is my sincere recommendation that she remains out of the kitchen because other wise she's a*CENSORED* loony.
Wish I had had the brains to quit when when the response to my commenting that she might wanna calm down because she'd doing her best to stress/anger everyone out, and maybe complement the people doing the work was, and I quote: "You should be grateful I remember to say 'Thank you'."
But hey, it's a volunteer organisation, can't complain, right? :P
-Sunday-
Johannes woke up early made blueberry pancakes for everyone in hopes of getting us to the Archery Range when it opened. Mmmmmm. Pancakes. Didn't work, we sat around and had a blast talking instead, and got back... in time for Court. Again. *laughs* After which, we went and did archery for about two hours. I got to shoot my longbow, which is AWESOME, but a bit weird to get used to after shooting a horsebow (which is about 2ft shorter) for so long.
The event seemed to already be winding down, people leaving early, so we did too and finished marathoning Total Drama Island once we got back to Johannes and Linda's.
-Monday-
Yay three-day weekend! Slept late at Megs', then we both kinda curled up and vegged with ficcage for a bit. I don't think I've done that in quite a while, it was lovely.
Had my hair down for for the first time in a long time when we went to the mall and ended up having to tie it up to get it out of the hands of salespeople who kept trying to touch it so they could talk me into styling it. *facepalm* That was weird.
And tonight! The Tusker Times with my artwork came out! *does happy dances* Couple of people who didn't know I did the artwork thought the art was cool. #^^# Yays!
Happy Birthday to
kyrakai!!!
