The Dangers of Canned Salmon
Jan. 9th, 2004 08:42 pmSo Dad made a comment over Christmas, with a grin and a mock-shudder about never eating canned salmon.
Which puzzled me, because I had picked up a can a long with a can of corned beef, cause it was on sale and we know that I should remember to eat meat occasionally for a balanced diet, and the corned beef was pretty good.
... would live entirely off of sugars and grains if I could, really I would.
So today, figured I'd cook the salmon for dinner, and try it out.
Folks, this is why you should REALLY listen to the off handed comments your parents make.
The smell wasn't so bad, fish always kinda stinks, and I'm used to the skin being on from Japanese food, so that wasn't so bad.
But I draw the line at fins and chunks of vertebrae. And unidentifiable grey stuff.
*shudders*
Threw the whole thing out, emptied the trash can outside. Am burning stuff to get rid of the stink.
No dinner for me tonight, thank you very much. >_< Ew.
