Got a new winter hat to wear while shopping with The Brat last night.

It's a purple octopus that sits on my head.

With red tentacles.

So I wore the Octopus hat to work, because, hey, everyone could use a laugh. Or at the very least, a smile. And since it's purple, it's a chance to wear my striped purple fingerless gloves too, so we're happy. *wiggles fingers*

But then one of the office ladies was very adimant about pulling me aside and sincerely thanking me, repeatedly, "For Being Myself".

... I must confess to being highly confused and not a little disturbed about this.

After all, if I wasn't myself, who else would I be? *puzzled*

And she'll fall on her face a couple of times along the way, then pick herself up and laugh about it.

My Dad and niece, Lexxie, stopped by to say hello cause we haven't seen each other for a while. ^__^ Dad was appalled at how clean my house is. *chuckles*

Was also treated to Dad reciting 'If you Give a Moose a Muffin' from memory. Very very cute story. *giggles*

This was spawned by a discussion with Dogmatix on what colour Loki's staff is, because I was too lazy to get up and walk into the next room to pick up the manga to check.
For some odd reason, I thought the staff was pink.
She thought it was a good idea.

Also spent a good hour searching (which is a long time for me) trying to find out what the name of Loki's weapon is. Thor has Mjollnir, Heimdall has the Giallar horn, Odin's got his spear Gungnir, and his ring Draupnir. Even Freyr has a sword (translates to 'Sunlight's Shaft' or 'Boar's Tusk') that could fight by itself.
Think it sounds something like 'Leviathan', but that's a Giant Water Serpent. (myth is quite similiar to Jormungandr, really)
