Can you Drop Kick a Monday?
Jul. 21st, 2003 09:27 amAm currently being reminded of a scene out of a fanfic we read ages ago on the Tiny Toon Adventures Fanfic Archive called 'The Lost Mine of Rabbit Gulch' or something like that...
Buster, Bugs, Yosemite Sam and Honey Bunny are on horseback trying to escape from the bad guys when Sam spots a tunnel for them to escape/hide in.
"Hats off folks!" Buster cheers as they run into it "A Genius!"
They quickly discover that the tunnel is actually a railroad tunnel and a train is on it's way through it, straight for them.
"Hats back on," Buster grumbles as they race out of the tunnel ahead of the train. "A Moron."

Went we opened the shed this morning to get the bike to ride to work, we found the shed devoid of bicycle.
After a quick "Ohhhh.... shyte..." and a mental linage of 'Feg, feg, feg, FEG!' (yes, that's actually what we said, 'feg'), remembered that gee, we had left the bike at work so that we could catch the bus to the train station on Friday. And the 2 buses we can catch to get to work on time had left over 10 minutes ago. -_-
Called work, told them I was gonna be late and covered the 25 blocks to catch a different bus in record time.
Very luckily, one of the ladies who works in the office upstairs saw me at the bus stop and called me over to give me a ride. *whew* Many thanks to her. So we were only about 40 minutes late, which isn't bad all things considered.
Owe my co-workers donuts now, that's what we do if you're more than 20 minutes late. ^^;;
About a half hour later, realised that my skirt was on backwards too. *laughs*
Really want to kick who ever thought up 'May you live in interesting times' as a curse a good swift kick in the shins.
On the other hand, life wouldn't be nearly as amusing. ^______^
