Spent most of this weekend watching Cyborg 009, cleaning house, watching Leauge of Extrodinary Gentlemen (was good, except for the backgrounds) sewing and staying up until 6am talking to Becky. ((GLOMPS Becky)) No writing or sketches, sorry.

Cyborg Solider 009 isn't a series most have heard of, but has been picked up by Cartoon Network to replace Yu*Yu*Hakusho this summer, so expect to see lots of it soon. ^^;; Tokyopop will be releasing the first manga on 9 Sept 003.
I discovered it several months back on the Japanese ‘net while looking for Conan fanart and kept running into sites for it, so picked it up on a lark and simply adored it. (have a weakness for robots. Mechs are cool too, but there's just something about androids and cyborgs...)
Its famous for the authour, Ishinomori Shoutarou, attempting to end the series by killing off the main characters by dropping them from an explosion in outer space and having them burn up in the atmosphere. ^^;; Fans changed his mind shortly afterwards, and they were saved, and the series switched to a more paranormal investigators type that has continued until the authour died early this year. (so the manga has never really ended)
Is also the precursor to many of the uniformed sentai shows.

... and on a COMPLETELY random note, I just found D•N•Angel DVDs on E-bay with the heading of 'yaoi' on them.
the series isn't yaoi... o_O
