Phoenix-neechan, despite the fact that she's a hardcore yaoi-lemon writer, turns Bright Neon Red at even the slightest innuendo. This has lead to many contests where we sit around and see how red we can make her blush.
I have been informed that David and A'dron, (two of the Bishies from the Y-Con Bishi Action and good friends) showed up at 'Neechan's house dressed in (respectively) a red thong and red boxers. And white bows.
Evidently, she went past red to pale, refused to look after that and locked herself in the bathroom.
... am SO waiting to hear more about this tomorrow. And see pictures. Must see pictures. ^__^ *bounces!*

And something random, because the plunnie/mental pic has been stalking us with a few days. And comedy is always good.

"Whoops." The voice echoed out into the empty air night air. "That wasn't supposed happen."

"JACKIEEEE!!" A small girl shouted from the top of the stairs leading to the roof. "I FOUND HIM!"

"Stay out of-" A gentle voice cut itself off from below her. "Oh, never mind. Don't let him get away!"

"On it!" The girl cheered, scampering out on to the rooftop with a maniacal grin on her face.

Which promptly faded as she realised that she couldn't see her intended prey. "Here, thiefy thiefy thiefy." She called, creeping around the shadow filled rooftop. "Promise not to hurt you."

"I've heard that one before!" A voice protested with accented English from her left and she jumped at it. Only to hit nothing.

"Dangit!"

A tousled hair man with kind eyes joined the girl on the rooftop. "Where is he? Are you alright, Jade?"

"I think he's figured out how to use the talismans." She grumbled, brushing herself off. "I'm fine, Uncle Jackie."

"Wow." The mysterious voice bubbled with excitement on their other side. "These are GREAT!"

"And dangerous." The man scolded.

"Which is precisely why he will be returning them," A clipped british accent surprised them. They turned to see a blond teenager dressed in a suit and a long brown inverness coat looking past them. "Isn't that right, Kid?"

"You're no fun." The invisible thief grumbled.

"And you are?" Jackie questioned.

"Jackie!!" A high pitched wail came from the stairwell. "Visitor for you!"

"I think they have already met, Sensei." A deeper voice rumbled as a huge man appeared, the stairwell straining under his weight.

"Indeed." The blond bowed slightly. "Hakuba Saguru. Pleased to make your acquaintance."

"Jackie Chan, archaeologist." Jackie returned the bow. "And this is my niece, Jade."

"Hakuba-san is an expert on the thief." The giant rumbled as he stepped forward. "I am Tohru, Uncle's apprentice"

"More like a stalker!" The thief protested from behind Tohru. "Wow, you're big." The last was in a awed mumble.

"So I have been told." The giant agreed.

"Jackie!!" And old man joined their small circle. "The thief is already using the Snake talisman! We must retrieve them before something happens!"

"I know that!" Jackie protested. "What would you have me do?"

The sound of a body falling over echoed on the rooftop, followed by soft snoring.

"Well, I think he found the Sheep talisman!" Jade grinned, bouncing. "So now all we have to do is find the invisible sleeping thief!"

Hakuba raised an eyebrow. "These talismans are magic?" He questioned.

"Yes." Jackie affirmed as he cast his eyes around the rooftop. "You do not sound surprised by that."

"I deal with a thief that is not only a magician, but also has a sense of humour." Hakuba commented. "Magic, although undetectable by scientific means, should not come as a surprise to me by now."

"Wise move." Uncle agreed, shuffling past them, his hands outstretched. "Watch your feet."

"No need." The thief groaned, his voice once again coming from a different part of the rooftop. "These things pack a punch."

"Exactly why they must be returned to Section 13." Jackie urged. "Immediately, if not sooner."

"Agreed." The Kid muttered. "After I'm finished."

Hakuba crossed his arms smugly. "Rather hard to look at something you cannot see."

His long coat suddenly flew up, much in the same manner of a skirt being flipped. The detective's eyes went wide as he quickly pushed it back down. Jade snickered.

"Finished?" Jackie blinked, his head tilting to the side. "Do you intend to use them for something?"

"He's looking for something." Hakuba volunteered, his hands on his rear to prevent his coat from flipping up again. "A gem that has to do with moonlight."

"Just give away all my secrets." the thief muttered darkly.

"Cool!" Jade beamed. "What are you looking for?"

Hakuba smirked. Trust a child to put the Kid on edge.

"A very special jewel." Kid replied as Jade's hair flew around her head, as if someone was fondly ruffling it.

"That's not an answer." She protested, straightening her hair.

"A compromise then?" Tohru questioned. "As a gesture of good faith, since it does not appear that you have destructive purposes in mind for the talismans?"

A pause followed. "I'm listening." Came the hesitant answer.

"Tohru?" Jackie looked at his large friend worriedly. "What do you have in mind?"

"If the gem he is looking for involves moonlight, and seeing Hakuba-san's lack of surprise at the talismans abilities, it must be magical as well." Tohru explained.

"The Moonlight triggers the magic." Uncle mused, rubbing his chin. "Makes sense."

"My suggestion would be that we stay on this side of the roof, and the Kid check them on the other side. Once he is done checking that these are not the gem he is looking for, he passes them back to us."

"Wait." Jade held up a hand. "Point of question. What's to keep us from simply blocking the door and taking them back that way?"

"He flies." Hakuba deadpanned.

"Oh. So what's from keeping him from flying off with them?"

"What does this one with the Dragon on it do?" The Kid's voice mused from somewhere off to their right.

The effect was instantaneous. "NO!" The talismans' usual holders panicked.

"My bad." The thief's voice was now above him. "Was some sort of chicken. This is FUN!"

Jackie groaned, running a hand down his face. "Rooster Talisman."

Uncle raised an eyebrow. "Thief with sense of humour. Not funny at all."

Hakuba raised an eyebrow. "Kid." He said, much in the manner of a parent scolding a child, or a older sibling with an annoying younger one. "Your attention on the subject would be greatly appreciated."

"Right, right." The Kid sighed regretfully. "She does have a point. And these would be SO much fun to play with. But I accept your compromise."

"You do?" Jade blinked. "Why?"

"Because, despite it all, he's an honourable person." Hakuba said, not unkindly. "Which is why he sends the notices and returns what he steals." The last part was added pointedly.

"And some people just like to ruin other people's entertainment." The Kid appeared on the far side of the rooftop from their loose cluster, holding a octagonal stone up to the full moonlight. He shook his head and casually tossed it back towards them. Tohru caught it. "I -had- hoped to return them without anyone the wiser, before certain people interfered. "

Jade grinned proudly. "Heh."

"How did you find out about the talismans anyway?" Jackie questioned as the Kid checked another one. That one was tossed backwards as well, Jade running forward to catch it.

"Newspapers." Kid answered calmly, holding two talismans up, one in each hand and peered at them. "It's amazing what makes it into the news, if you know what to look for."

"And Section 13?" Jackie wanted to know.

"Same way I made my way into the building." The grin was nearly blinding in the moonlight as the two talismans were tossed backwards, landing in Tohru's outstretched hand. "Names make it into the news, follow the names around and bingo! Instant access."

He causally tossed a few talismans into the air, juggling them in lazy circles. More joined the dance, their insignias flickering in the silver light as they flew around and around.

"But not even Viper can break the security around the talismans room!" Jackie protested.

"Maybe not." Kid agreed, tossing them over one at a time. Five, six, seven, eight were quickly grabbed out of mid-air by their guardians. "But someone else can."

Jade caught talisman number nine with a grin. Which promptly faded as she caught on. "...Oh." Her uncles' eyebrows rose as they scowled down at her. She smiled sheepishly at them. "Heh."

"We shall discuss this later." Jackie promised darkly.

Kid tossed her a sympathetic wink. "I'm not the only one on the look out for rocks with magical properties." He tossed the two remaining talismans in his hands towards them, Tohru catching them as well and adding them to the pile. "Just a friendly warning."

He swept his top hat off and gave them a gallant bow as he vanished from veiw in a small cloud of smoke.

"Wait!" Uncle cried, looking over the talismans they were holding. "One talisman is missing!"

"He still has the Snake!" Jade realised.

Hakuba's face turned down a thunderous frown. "KID!"

"Oh, relax." The Kid's voice commented from beside the detective. "Or you'll give yourself a heart attack at an early age." The blond's pale lips tensed slightly, as if something was being pressed against them, then a laughing white shadow flickered past him, diving over the edge of the tall rooftop and vanished into the night sky.

"Wow." Jade breathed as the Kid flew away. "He really does fly!"

"Humph." Hakuba handed Uncle the last talisman, then stiffly strode past them towards the stairs leading down, disappearing from view.

The others watched him go. Jade placed a hand on her hips, lower lip thrusting out in a pout. "Okay, is it me, or did something just happen there?"

Jackie and Tohru exchanged looks, then shrugged. "Well," Jackie finally commented. "This IS San Francisco..."

-fin-

I'd say we're sorry, but I don't think we are entirely sorry, so I wont. Neener Neener.

Sirrah? Do you know if anything has happened around Lomita Park recently? When I rode thru there tonight, the gazebo was closed off with yellow tape and there were votives burning in the centre, with bouquets laying around them. Someone die? o_O

Happy Friday the 13th, y'all!

I missed that the first time, but I do think you're right! What fun.

This would probably make more sense if I ever watched Jackie Chan.
