Okay, so we're going thru the box you sent ysabet when we come across a couple of Conan dvds I'm pretty sure we didn't loan you, cause I know Neechan has my 'Countdown to Heaven' and I don't have the 12 Million Hostages yet. (been lazy, the anime store has 'em).

So we watched 12 Million Hostages tonight.
You are an evil evil person.

Cause now the Voices are sitting there going: Sato! Tanuki! Aren't you just the cutest little Tanuki? Yes you are, yes you are! *rambles on into baby talk*
Which would really worry me if they weren't also going: Takagi! Sweet! Aren't you just the sweetest little human? Yes you are! Yes you are! And rambling about dipping him in caramel (cause he's too sweet for chocolate) and giving him to Sato. ^^;;
... which if you've read any myths about Tanuki (all of which we've seen are about -male- tanuki, BTW) is rather funny. *coughs*
Tho we're wondering why a Tanuki would be a Keibu, because it seems rather OOC, but then the Voices also bouncing around with Megure! Never Takes Off His Hat! He's a Kappa!!! It's to Hide the Water Bowl! ¬_¬

... so, uh... think we're gonna end up re-writing that Shinigami Stories Side Story 'Watching' as soon as we find an appropriate myth for Sato. ^^;;

And on another rambling note, about Sato seeing death following Takagi
Shiratori: "So I heard you had a date with death."
Takagi: "Well I sorta did. Only it was in an elevator and he dismantled a bomb, so it wasn't exactly romantic, and there weren't any flowers, so I don't think it quite counts..."
Shiratori: "...."

No, no-- those were extras, so keep 'em! One was sent to me to make up for a goof on an order, the other was one I stupidly ordered thinking it was something else; consider 'em a return for the manga you've given me, Icka. Fair!

Wooooooo..... Tanuki-Takagi. Now, you know, that just FITS. And as for Sato's myth... hmmmm. What about the Crane Women? She's sort of elegant-- they're associated with dance and weaving, both traditional artforms. Remember how much she protested to her mom about doing all the traditional bride stuff? She'd be a GREAT Crane Woman. On the other hand, what on *earth* would her and Takagi's kids look like? Furry cranes? Birds with tails and raccoon-masks?

Write! Write! And sorry I didn't come online last night like I had planned-- I had to do a ferret-rescue. Yeah, I got another one, by the name of Lavender. Looks JUST like a full-fledged ermine, she does; the cats are horrified, Cori wants to beat her up, Meg wants to wash her ears, and I am once again doing something that my lease does not allow. So it goes.

ICKA!!! Just a rather large suggestion: DO NOT PLAY THE CD OF MUSIC I SENT YOU AT WORK, or at least not on speakers where *everybody* can hear it. Just thought of that..... I mean, while a lot of the songs are fairly tame, it *does* have things like "Nine Inches Will Please A Lady" on it and so forth. Especially so forth. LOTS of so forth. Don't want to get you fired, what with the new pain-in-the-ass supervisor and all.....

Whew. Hope this is in time.

Unfortunately, I did make the most grevious error of laughing at loud at your comment above, and now have been ordered to bring said CD to work. (i haven't made it past the first song, keep hitting repeat to laugh over it all over again)

Oooooooookay...... whew. Had hideous mental images of you selling apples on a streetcorner (in LA? right) with a sign around your neck saying IT'S ALL YSABET'S FAULT!. Again, whew.

So they want to hear the songs? Okay, but bear in mind that the singer has sometimes been compared to somebody gargling draino in the shower. And I know what you mean about the first song-- try the second one, too, the one about pirates always being lucky on Saturday nights. AND the one about torture-- that one's good!

As for the nine inches... You know, now that I'm divorced and can look back on my married life with a certain amount of perspective, I rather suspect that I haven't had the chance to find out if nine inches are, errrr, satisfactory. When all you've had the chance to taste is bread, you don't miss cake, do you?

**snerk** That was catty, I know; but I rather think I'm allowed, all things considered. Let me know what everybody thinks about the songs.....
