"Prolly not."
"How about WHY she is up there?"
"Practicing."
"Practicing?"
"Practicing. For an upcoming costume contest at a local convention."
"Ah. that would explain the outfit."
"Yup. She made herself too."
"She did a good job. She get the cape from your alter ego?”
“Ha. Funny. Not.”
“But I do have to admit she makes a very good Princess Amelia wil Tesla Saillune from Slayers"
"Doesn't she? Could do without the justice speeches though…."

Because Aoko could probably make a very good Amelia.

Date: 2003-12-02 07:59 pm (UTC)DAMMIT! Missed Becky! Yeah, she emailed me back yesterday. Sorry I wasn't on; was absolutely beat (had a loooooong day yesterday) and ended up sprawling on my floor-cushions with Spot draped over me, watching ep after ep of Loki-- it was just that kind of evening.
Just rented King of Bandits Jing, but haven't watched it yet; is this going to be the start of another addiction? Could be..... Glad you got the box, btw; hope Becky & Meg got theirs as well. Won't be online tonight until lateish, as me & a chunk of friends are all going to get together and watch QE4SG at Chip's place (I'm in charge of supplying the Pepsi products). Was sort of thinking vaguely about the outcry there would be if the exact opposite of QE4SG was ever put on TV-- I mean, can you imagine it? Something called maybe "Testosterone Challenge" or "Straight Lines" or... I dunno-- a show where they took a gay guy and made him ultra-macho:
Straight Team Member: "Okay, now, whatcha want ta do is wear your shirt open so your chest-hairs show, and ya need to splash *this* stuff all over ya..."
Subject of Testosteronization: "But, but that's TACKY... and dear God, what's that smell? Did somebody hide a dead raccoon under the floorboards?"
Straight Team Member: "Nahh, that's 'Brute Aftershave'... Don't worry, you'll get used to it after a few days."

Date: 2003-12-03 03:20 am (UTC)Was having trouble with the Ran/Lina thing too, and Akako (crimson child) is the only Red-head we could think for the group, but the idea of her leading the Slayers cast is scary.
Ooo... hadn't thought about Haibara... Fits her to a T!! XD
