Ha-hah!!! MOrgan-obachan has a squeaky hedgehog on her head!!! *giggles madly*

What's a good 'professional' sounding term for 'Temp'?
"Convient Replacement Specialist" sounds too much like what an assassin would do...

Joining the Head of the Assassins guild then?

Short term assignment? Seasonal? Personally I'd use temp, but that's me.

"Wandering Adaptation Professional" - now that sounds funny XD

Freelancer?

Short Term x (where x is the position one would hold in full time employment) freelancer.

Icka the Assasin, we kill needless paperwork.

For a more professional term for "temp", you could try using the term "contractor".

[identity profile] psycho-devli.livejournal.com 2006-10-25 02:15 am (UTC)(link)
At Drake they call temps "Field Officers" ... at least that sounds professional, & then when they ask you what that means you can say temp xD

&, directed at [livejournal.com profile] saitaina ... share the hot chocolate, please?! :P I am in dire need of one ... or seven ... !

I would, but my modem might violently abject to me pouring hot chocolate through it's wiring system.

It's usually obvious from the name of the employer that you list that it's a temp agency. I just put temp down when I fill out a resume. So many places now hire through agencies that no one finds anything wrong with you having been a temp.

Well don't you know that Vegemite is a terrorist? =P

US makes Vegemite an illegal substance, Vegemite smuggling?

I'm not spamming, just noticed this addition and had to check it out as it reminded me of an old I Love Lucy episode.

If I understand it, Vegemite is a vitamin enriched...spread?

..and we've banned it? We are very, very bizarre as a country.

I wonder what Vegemite tastes like though...

[identity profile] bigdee.livejournal.com 2006-10-26 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Vegemite, looks like chocolate or engine grease and tastes like nothing else on Earth. It's made from yeast, and has a sharply savoury taste that's difficult to describe. Extremely nutritious, vegetarian-friendly and not actually banned after all (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10407668)...

[identity profile] dogmatix-san.livejournal.com 2006-10-26 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
*blink* huhn, okay, I was thinking it was some kind of vegetable spread, but that has to be marmite with a description like that. Not that I ate it if I could avoid it, but it's also in South Africa then :)

[identity profile] bigdee.livejournal.com 2006-10-26 08:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yep, it's functionally identical to Marmite, which I actually prefer =)

[identity profile] ickaimp.livejournal.com 2006-10-26 06:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Blargh, I'm not fond of either. ^^;; Prefer my sweets instead of savouries.

[identity profile] ysabet.livejournal.com 2006-10-26 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm... how does it taste? If you like really, really sharp-and-moldy cheeses like stilton you might like it. It has a STRONG taste. I'm fond of strongly-flavored things, so I don't think it's bad, but I have to admit that it's sort of something you have to get used to. Try it if you can; how many times as an adult do you get to try a totally new flavor, after all?

[identity profile] insane-n-evil.livejournal.com 2006-10-30 03:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Personally, I can't stand stilton, but I absolutely ADORE Marmite.

Have never tried Vegemite though. Always just kind of assumed they would taste pretty much the same.

[identity profile] ysabet.livejournal.com 2006-10-30 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
^__^ I'm a stilton fan, me, but I tend to go for strongly-flavored stuff, like smoked oysters and so forth. But hey, to each their own. Just don't anybody try to make me eat beets and nobody'll get hurt...

I have to ask: WHAT is the critter in your icon? Looks sort of like a pink wallaby made of marzipane... **scratches head** Or a hand-puppet... or.... I dunno; am curious. ???

[identity profile] ysabet.livejournal.com 2006-10-26 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
**amused** ...and the current weather at Panama City, FL is 68 F, partly cloudy with a humidy factor of 64%. Damp and cloudy! Like living in a fog-bank! I miss the humidity, actually...
