Lessons Learned over the past two days:

Tuesday
- There is a house just up from Alvernon Park on Longfellow that is COVERED in Gargoyles. And a couple of small dogs on the roof. Seriously. Go check it out. The guy says that it's not a Halloween Thing, it's a Notre Dame Thing, to chase away evil spirits.
- Random people will come up and talk to you while you are trying to draw. However, they're very nice and you all go out to dinner together.
- Lucky Strike Bowling has really good hamburgers.
- Wearing Green Lipstick on the Bus means random people will smile at you and strike up conversations about Zombies.

Wednesday
- No, you are not too old to not get Asthma Attacks.
- It doesn't matter how many years its been since the last one, THEY STILL SUCK. wtf, lungs? you can stop now. Really.
- When Megs says 'help me see if my bed can hold two people without breaking' because her boyfriend is coming to visit in a few weeks, she REALLY means 'get on the bed and act like you're having sex'.
- Megs really isn't that heavy of a blanket.
- The Ninja vs Pirate debate continues to rage on inside the SCA.
- People can blush down their arms. Sadly, we did not get the camera out fast enough.
- Optimus Prime Motivational Posters do indeed, rock. They also make very good wallpapers.
- There are more Corsairs in Tucson that I realised. YAY!

Today, I get to meet a whole bunch of Slashers. M'anticipating learning lots. Whoo-hoo!

My main comment on going years between asthma attacks is that when it happens to me it always means that I'm utterly unprepared for one. I generally discover that my rescue inhaler is more than two years old and that I'm not sure where I put it last or how many doses it has left.

... Don't have any rescue inhalers due to the fact that I'm an "uncontrolable allergic asthmatic".

I can take anti-histamines and nasal decongestants to keep from getting sick on bad days, (which it hasn't been lately), but once it starts, nothing's gonna work. If it gets bad enough I have to go to hospital (which thankfully has only happened once), the only thing they can do is put me on oxygen and wait it out.

Thankfully, this was only a minor one. But after not having one since moving out of LA, it's a very large annoyance. >_>

Ask [livejournal.com profile] richarddbrewer about when he made [livejournal.com profile] dragonflykeep's bed....the jump test was hilarious.

The posters are faboo.

Will do! That sounds like a great story. Mwuahahahaa.

Thanks!

Hey, at least I didn't act like I was having sex while I was on TOP of you!

Wait ... that just sounds wrong no matter how I put it. *facepalm*

Yes. Yes it does.

Where is the gargoyle house...exactly? I think I live in the neighborhood you're talking about. I can't believe I missed it!

Just south of 2nd and Longfellow.
I discovered it wandering north to the Safehouse Coffee shop, I like to get lost and take different streets every time. #^^#

I would just like to quote a shirt I have

[identity profile] ickaimp.livejournal.com 2008-10-17 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
*Laughs* Oh, that is sweet!

In SCA terms, I think it would be 'Ninja? Pirate? A Lansknecht could kick both their asses'.

[identity profile] ysabet.livejournal.com 2008-10-17 10:14 pm (UTC)(link)
...I want that shirt. That rocks.

Uhm... So how'd you simulate sex on the bed? Jumping up and down? Areobics on the bed?

Bangkok is hell (capital H) on asthma. Happened two days ago and then realized my inhaler is ohh.. about 6 months expired. Sucks.

Seriously, about the bed: how'd you test it?
