Mental Flossing:

Okay! So, tracing time for one illumination: Just under 20 minutes, including taping it down.
Problem: Do I trace on the rough side or the smooth side of the vellum? *flail*

Good luck to everyone facing Ike! [livejournal.com profile] ytak, [livejournal.com profile] gracie_musica, looking at you. Stay safe, 'kay?

The good news? Moving into a new apartment with [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny at the end of this month. I'll have my own room! \o/ Is also central Tucson, which makes it easier to get to places.

Finding self reading Transformers Movie Fanfiction lately. Since this morphed from reading Gundam Wing fic, think we're on a Mecha kick. Which is yay, except that now a Kaitou Kid/Transformers plunnie is nibbling and it kinda breaks my brain a bit. Eh.
*dropkicks plot bunnie and wanders off to work on other crack*

this has been a very mecha year.

email cecilia for sure but I believe its the smooth side..don't know why I don't ever remember it.

The two sites I found said smooth as well, so I'm guessing that's probably it.

Megs can't remember either. ;_;

*de-lurks to respond to the TF fanfic blurb*

Come to the dark side. We have cookies. And erotica. Probably more erotica than cookies. (Have you discovered [livejournal.com profile] tf2007fun yet?)

*feeds the plunnie*

Good luck with moving!

Yeah! Found [livejournal.com profile] tf2007fun through [livejournal.com profile] beexsam. Really enjoying [livejournal.com profile] writer83729's stuff, both there and on ff.net.

noooo... don't feed the plunnie. ;_;

And thanks! Don't really have a lot of stuff to move, but it feels like it.

I want to see the illumination! I've seen photos of examples centuries old and I'd love to see what you'd do. Is it just going to be a picture or do you have text accompanying it?

Thanks! I'd say be worried if you don't hear from me for a while but with the chance of the power going out, well, don't be worried. It's getting -really- windy out right now (am so thankful bedroom faces west/north-west).

Write it pretty please with a cherry on top? Mecha are good. I need to get you into Patlabor, you'd have fun with it.

I don't actually do the Illuminations, I refuse to paint. However, I do make a pretty good Tracing Bitch, tracing/inking the patterns that the Illuminators then paint over and the Calligraphers put the text into. These are to be given out as awards in the beginning of November.

I have gotten a scroll! You can see it here. (http://picasaweb.google.com/ickaimp/SCA?authkey=9G7XxV2xLzU#5239100516081886210) It's not fancy, but it'll give you an idea.

Yeah, saw that. ((Snuggles)) Keep safe!

Oh, gods. If I write this crossover, it's going to drive me nuts, there's not much semblance of plot that makes sense. I should know better than to fic while waking up.

You're an important step, I will never knock tracing.

I've seen that! So that's what you're doing it for. Spiffy.

I intend to keep safe.

Pleaaaaaaaaassssssseeeeee? Besides, who needs plot? A little confused laughter or wtf-ry is always good.
