Hair

Um. Wow. LJ really has been quiet lately. I start my final week of training today, then I'm on the floor next Monday to see if I can handle working at a call centre. If I can, I'm on a similar scheduale to MOrgan, which is good, cause then we can carpool home and bitch about work. ^_______^

In the meantime, have finally picked up deeeeep conditioner for my hair and it's so very nice to have it not frying and tangling on me. *pets the hair* Will admit, am slightly vain about my hair. ^^;; Doesn't help that that I tend to fiddle with it when nervous, so having split ends breaking on my fingers isn't exactly comforting... ~_~

So, hair links.

Henna for Hair.com
Where was this site when I first started hennaing?! Different ways and things to mix henna for hair. They also have instructions for putting indigo in your hair, for black and brown instead of red.

The Long Hair Loom
Is more of a forum than a site, but they've got good advice for long hair, as well as neat hairstyles and explinations for how to do buns. (which I cannot do)

DreadHeadHQ
Comment I heard recently about dreadlocks is a way of showing off how much patience you have.
After looking around? Totally true.
Once you get past the blanant commericalism --they sell dreading products-- I think this site has the best tone and attidude about dreadlocks out of the places I visited. First thing under 'Making Dreadlocks' is 'Prepare your Mind'. ^______^

Right, and now I'm off to see if we can squeeze a few braincells together before work today to finish off a fic...

Coconut oil is the best thing ever for your hair, and if you get it at the ethnic grocery store or Walmart, it's inexpensive and it lasts a long time. I'm trying to grow mine out and have found a lot of helpful advice at the longhair LJ community.

Ditto on the [livejournal.com profile] longhair community - some good stuff there. Occasional complete airheadedness ("chemical free" actually = vaccuum, which may not be good for your hair... Henna is not chemical free, otherwise it wouldn't actually dye your hair), but generally good.
