Taaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr.

Two quick Kiwi stories:

My little neice and nephew evidently now equate going to New Zealand to coming back with Long Hair. o_O

Thought Dad was gonna hack up a lung laughing last night as we were watching CSI when I told him about this:
When I wear Cat Ears in the States, people generally think I'm either a loony or an anime fan.
When I wear Cat Ears in New Zealand, people ask if I like to have sex with animals.
The reason for this logic being the Furry episode of CSI. Every damn time.
Remember folks, your Ambassedor to the rest of the world is not the politicans, it's Prime Time Television. *shudders*

Anyway.

Yesterday was spent playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer in front of my old school (aka 'Sunnydale High'), tromping around the La Brea Tar Pits, finding stray spots of tar leaking up to the surface -fortunately not the hard way, sliding off a giant's sloth's head and brusing my bum (it was funny!), eating lunch in Chinatown, attacking Ysabet's hair with a duck on a stick and listening to my folks, Ysabet and MOrgan tell tall tale about how life was when dinosaurs roamed the earth.

... okay, maybe exaggerated that last part. ^___^ But they did bond over Jimmy Buffet. Geh.

Pics coming.

So now Ysabet and MOrgan are on their way back to Tucson, hopefully to be back in time for a good night's sleep and I'm in So Cal for a while, remembering why my sinuses hate it so much. Grrrrrrrr. *snuggles with the dogs for a while*

Jimmy Buffet Rules!

..and that's rather scary if the rest of the world views us via CSI. Though more Greg's and Gil's in the world wouldn't go amiss...

Actually, it's the questions about if life in the States is kinda like that Orange County show and all those other Prime Time drama shows that kinda worry me about how people view life in the States.

Or just think... your ambassedor to the world: 'America's Next Top Model'. -_-

This is why I don't watch Prime Time, unless it's a news program or a documentry, all the shows SCARE me.

Give me the Science or History channel any day.
