WE HAVE THE GAY!!!
Both D•N•Angel manga #9 and the first 8 episodes. The anime store finally got it. ^__^
Scared people by randomly cheering "THE GAY!" and laughing like a loon at random points in the store and walking home.

Yesterday was fun, got to take Sirah around Little Tokyo and waited for 'Neechan and the rest of the crew to show up. One poor bored sales guy doubled over laughing when I told Shingo "Don't make me threaten you with physical violence" when I called them up about the time we were supposed to meet and disccovered they hadn't left yet. ¬_¬
There were several martial arts exibtions going on, including one gentleman who was cutting large poles of bamboo into pieces with a katana.
Had not realised that the katana was one of the few swords designed to cut thru bone as well as flesh.
Also picked up a bunch of Globe music, since I liked what I could find from Cyborg 009. ^__^
'Neechan and M spent the night, and it was fun. Language is not one of my better talents and it tends to show when we're tired.
Some of the better ones while talking about One Piece were 'Nuffy', 'Lani' (Luffy and Nami, respectively) and
Icka: So Luffy's all tied up and... uh, Fired up and rarin' ta fight!
'Neechan: Tied up? So that's what you wanna see, huh? Luffy all tied up?
Icka!: No! No!! *waves hands and panics*
Was a fun weekend. Think I'm sunburned tho, so I'm gonna go drink a bunch of water and passout. ^^ ((GLOMPS!))

Our lone D•N•Angel fic, written when there were under 100 fics for the series on ff.net ^^;;
Tina: The series is now known as 'The Gay' in our head because of the various ramblings of Meg (who got us into the series years ago with her fics) after seeing the anime series.
Voices vaugely recall something about calling Satoshi the gayest of the gay of the gay, and being gayer in the anime than the manga series, and that's pretty damn gay. ^__^

Got 'em too, FINALLY!
Poor Icka; you are now about to be deluged with questions regarding DNAngel. My apologies, but... what the HELL are all those force-bubbles that Krad pops off when he shows up?? And what's with all the feathers? I read all the translations of the manga and the only thing I recall about feathers was when Dark got trapped inside a sort of false-world and his memory was bound up in feathers of some sort that Daisuke had to find. Truthfully I find the idea rather interesting; at *last* somebody has found a practical use for all those drifts of plumage that show up so frequently in anime and manga-- they're mystic projectile weapons (AND, apparently, cloaking devices-- I loved how Dark/Daisuke hid the Sacred Virgin statue in the first episode). Oh yeah-- and what on earth are all these mystic rituals and everything? Do they do those in the manga? Can just see it:
DAISUKE: "Mooooommmmm-- my Mystic Ritual Scary-Looking Robe is too short-- can you let the hem down? I don't wanna look like a dork in front of the Powers That Be when we defrag the next stolen Hikari item--"
MOM: "Talk to Dark about it, dear; he's good at sewing-- or he was when he was your Grandfather--"
DAISUKE: ".....Dark can SEW?!? But--" /Dark?/
DARK: //Give me a break; there wasn't ALWAYS somebody around who was nice enough to make my outfits for me, y'know.....//
**snerk** Mommy Dearest has some *interesting* ideas about what kind of outfits she wants Dark to wear; bet she played Cops-and-Kaitous with her dolls when she was little.
More questions: Do they go into Grandpa's past in-depth in the manga? *THAT* was interesting... Watching Daisuke pass over into being more interested in Riku than Risa was, too; however, the episode with poor little With falling in love with a rabbit was just... peculiar. I mean, the critter is NOT a rabbit; hell, it reminds me more of an albino chinchilla, actually, except that it's not noticibly homicidal and has at least a minimal brain (two most un-chinchilla like qualities, so far as I've seen). What IS that on its backside, a tail? Looks sort of like a cucumber, which is odd. Cute little bugger, though..... Has anybody considered getting Daisuke on Prozac? He looked like he was depressed and short on sleep about half the time! Poor guy; the price for an exciting life is to sub-let it and have a permanent case of loginess.
