Fanfiction Ratings System

Um... anyone else hear the rumour about a stink that the MPA is raising about people using their ratings for fanfic?
So several archives are changing to a new ratings system to avoid trouble.

FRC — Fan Rated Suitable For Children
FRT — Fan Rated Suitable For Teenagers
FRM — Fan Rated Suitable For Mature Persons
FRAO — Fan Rated Suitable For Adults Only

See here for more details: http://tfrrs.tripod.com/

Thanks to Peja at WWoMB for pointing it out.

I'd heard about that rumor (and I'd also heard it was a hoax; I forget which was right). In any case, that looks like a good system. Thanks for the link!

The MPA is silly. Why should they be so protective? It's not like they make money whenever the "R!" appears in a movie preview. Honestly.

However, I like the splitting of the "PG-13" rating. I always have believed that we need an M-13 and M-15 like the Britons. ^__^;;

^^;; Gee, MPA's exceptionally strict, ain't they?

Thanks for the info, Icka-sempai. :)

That's really silly... and the tripody website makes me think it's untrue, but a friend says it's true... eeeeeeeeeerk.

Just by the by... when I reopened this window to look at my friend's page, I thought for a moment that Conan and Hattori were in liplock in your icon. ^^;;;; *tireeeeeeeeeeed*

Mature and Adult?

Can anyone please tell me why mature and adult are different, and what that difference is?

And Regarding Britons, I live in Britain and I've never heard of such ratings (not in films at any rate).
"we need an M-13 and M-15 like the Britons. ^__^;;"

We have U (Universal, where a Uc fim is partcualrly suited to kids), PG (Parental guidance reccomended for younger viewers), 12A 9No one younger than twelve is permitted to watch without an adult), 15, 18, and R18. See the BBFC's site for details: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/

Because not all adults are mature and you don't have to be mature to be an adult. ^^;; Depends on the person, really.

Thanks for the info on the UK's ratings system!! ^_____^ S'always good to know.
