[drabble] FMA: Contest

because really, how does armour see?

“Hughes, I was wondering-“

”Shh!”

Mustang blinked as Havoc motioned for silence without turning around. “I beg your pardon?”

”Shh!” Havoc glanced up, an irritated look vanishing as he realized who he was talking to. “Colonel Mustang, sir! Sorry!”

”What’s going on?” Mustang glanced over Havoc’s head to find Alphonse sitting across from Hughes, both with expressions of intense concentration. Or at least as intense as a suit of armour can look.

”Staring contest.”

”Staring contest?”

”Yup. Going on 10 minutes.”

Mustang mulled this over. “Can Alphonse blink?”

”Finding out now sir.”

”Nevermind then.” Mustang turned to leave. “Carry on.”

Well, as long as the automail can work, as in this case, why not a pair of manmade eyes?

But Al's eyes aren't exactly man-made...

Well, let me speak of a theory.

The mind of Al is there, but by the mind itself he can't do anything, so he needed the automail to function. As for the same case, at least there are lenses in the place of his eyes, or else he couldn't see.

Well, that's a theory...^^;

HEEE! I really don't think Al's eyes would blink, per se. The light might go out, but that'd likely have nothing at all to do with moisture leaving them, so I think poor Hughes is doomed.
