Ao3 Hit Meme

Mon, 23 Apr 2012 22:52:36 GMT

Donated to Ao3 about two months ago, was actually kinda confused that we couldn't link it to our account. Huh.
Anyway. We're actually kinda picky about what we put up on Ao3, there's so many good authors/fics up there that I try to post either the fics we're especially proud of, or small rare fandom. Which usually amounts to the same thing.
Don't actually have a lot of DC/MK up, because we've written so much that I've kinda forgotten everything we've done, and am not really sure about what to post. (suggestions are welcome)

Odd thing, all three of our Sherlock fics made our top 10 hits. o_O So did all the smut on that account. ~_~

( We have a kinkmeme sockpuppet on Ao3 as well, and two of those fics would have placed above #8 if included. )

1. Go to page 77 (or 7, or just hit pagedown 7 times) of your current manuscripts.
2. Go to line 7
3. Copy down the next 7 lines – sentences or paragraphs – and post them as they’re written.
4. ~~Tag 7 other people~~ Do it if you wanna.

Okay, a few heads up. We have a -lot- more WiPs than this, but these are 7 from the text editor's history file, meaning we've poked at them in the past few weeks.
NOTHING IS SPELLCHECKED. There are errors. Ignore them.
Other than that... Enjoy?

Out of utter curiosity, if I was chained up in your attic, and I had to write you one story, what would you request?
Or alternatively, what's something you always hoped I'd write but know is never going to happen?

Lurker Day - Song Meme

Thu, 03 Mar 2011 05:08:12 GMT

Happy Lurker Day!!! For the Lurkers, a Quick Meme!

1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Put iTunes or equivalent media player on random.
3. For each song that plays, write something related to the theme you picked inspired by the song. You have only the time frame of the song: no planning beforehand: you start when it starts, and no lingering afterward; once the song is over, you stop writing. (No fair skipping songs either; you have to take what comes by chance!)
4. Do 10 5 of these, then post.

-Due to time constraints (I'm ready to fall asleep) am only doing 5 instead of 10. But wanted to say thank you to all the readers and lurkers for your support over the years. So, a mis-mash of fandoms!

( Magic Kaito - Lift me up by Moby )

( Yu-Gi-Oh! - We used to be Friends by the Dandy Warhols )

( Burton's Alice in Wonderland - La la la la la LA! by Boy Eats Drum Machine )

( Green Hornet - Take me to the riot by Stars )

( Kateyo Hitman Reborn! - You're a Wolf by Sea Wolf )

I've been meaning to say it, so a very belated and grateful Thank You to the Anon who gave us the Austrlian and New Zealand relief gifts!! We smile every time I see them!

WiP Meme PT 2: The Epics that Eat Our BRAINS.

Mon, 16 Aug 2010 06:44:29 GMT

Looking back at the first time we did this, realised that most of those are done.

Most, not all.

But it's a good way of clearing the head and figuring out what we're doing. So once again, just the fics that we have a current (as in 'within the last week') dialogue with:

Post a sentence (or two) from as many of your WIPs as you want, with no explanation attached.
