[fic] MaLoki: Children
Was just going to crash when plunnie hit. *sigh* This is what happens when you stay up late talking to
Meg and
Becky about Loki after looking at a bunch of Japanese fanart sites.
He hated these trips inside the Enjaku Detective Agency.
It wasn't the house per say. No, the house was normal.
It was the people -inside- the house that drove him nuts.
And he was pretty sure that they did it to him on purpose.
Okay, so maybe not Yamino-kun, who seemed to be a nice enough fellow unless you counted the fact that he was a giant snake, but the small boy definitely seemed to take great pleasure in teasing him.
Sometimes he wished that his daughter had been born with just a little bit more of his skill in seeing beyond the natural. Even if it caused the Supernatural to play practical jokes on you.
"Right this way, Mayura-Papa." Said small boy smiled politely and lead the way to the study that his daughter had fallen asleep in, once again. He really did wish that she would stop spending so much time at this place, but at least he was fairly certain that she'd be safe here.
At least, as safe as one can be with small boy who appeared to be the embodiment of Death and Chaos. Or at the very least Chaos.
What ever he was, it gave him the creeps.
Loki opened the door for them and stepped into the office. He was about to follow when he the other people in the room caught his attention.
There was the giant serpent. He was used to him, and that was fine.
Across from him however, was a giant wolf, his head bowed in concentration.
Sitting daintily next to the wolf was a girl, looking more dead than alive, her body decaying as he watched.
And the pink flying thing.
Their attention seemed to be captured by a game of Chinese Checkers that rested on the table in the middle of the room.
His mouth opened involuntarily, a comment forming on his lips.
"Mayura-Papa." Loki's unusually sharp voice drew his attention to where the small boy was standing, next to the sleeping Mayura in an over stuffed reading chair. The boy had an unusually sober look on his face. "You don't say anything about my children, I won't say anything about yours."
He paused a moment, looking at the 'children' playing Chinese Checkers. Then he thought about how much Mayura hung around them, and how much they put up with her strange mystery fascination. And pondered the fact that despite the fact that they were huge and very strange, they not only put up with her strange mystery fascination, but were fairly protective of her.
And then he wondered how the flying pink thing was able to pick up the marbles to play Chinese Checkers because it was obviously it's turn.
He sighed heavily and moved to collect his daughter. "Agreed."

Will post a MK scene in the morning, is time for bed now. *yawns*
