Back / Fic Question Help?

Made it back safe and sound from LA. Surprisingly, the train was on time too. Ended up sharing a compartment with a very nice guy named Chris who looked like he had just had his face bashed in. *shrugs*

Okay, kinda stuck on a plunnie and we haven't been able to find an answer. If anyone could help us out, would be really really grateful.
Does anyone know when you take the entrance exams to get into the universities? What time of year and such.

Eep! Gotta go!!!!! THanks!!

I got a little bit wiser in the meantime (well, okay, I asked someone) and apparently it depends on the university. Public universities often have exams in February, private ones a little earlier. Private universities are more common, so I'd go in that direction.
The normal examination period spreads from January to March, Tôdai (for example) has its on 25-27th of February and 13th of March this year. Application for taking part in the exams is from the 24th of January (i.e. today) till the 2nd of February.

The general routine is: Two exams determining whether you're fit for the university academically, and a meeting, i.e. a talk to determine whether you fit... well, with everything else, really.

Calendar for different entrance exams, a shitload really, for Heisei 17, i.e. this year (http://passnavi.evidus.com/tokushu/calendar05/main.html)

... buuut I think you weren't asking for that *cough*

Here ya girl

For the UC system you must take the exam up to two months before the term you want to enroll in starts IE: Dec for Spring, June or July for Fall.

Schools like USC have you take the exam as you app is being processed.

Hope that helps baby. I had lot of fun working in USC's admission dept, that's the only reason I remember this crap
